Samsung postponed the upcoming camera update, among other fixes for S25. WTH is going on with Samsung this year?

I guess the good news is that it seems like we don't really have any issues with the camera, so at least we're not waiting on any fixes.

Got my iPhone 16 today. It's really funny because I have two overwhelming thoughts.

1. Holy crap, the S25 Ultra is just in a completely different league than any iPhone whatsoever, and iOS is so dull.

2. Does anyone even really need anything better than just your standard iPhone? I have an appreciation for its lameness, haha.

Same. It's nice to have that variety, actually.

There are probably going to be days where it's nice to just use a simple iOS device, but I don't have any need for iMessage or Facetime, so then texts, calls, main sim will continue to be my S25 Ultra.

To be honest with you if I had to pick one side I would take the Android phone only because I can switch to more different phones. But I could get by either way don't really need to use iMessage or FaceTime if I was strictly on Android. I think all the other stuff is figured out anyway and I'm not losing anything at all on either side

Just came over from a 15 Pro to an S25 Plus. Previously used iPhones for over 10 years. Been using the S25 Plus for near a couple of weeks and enjoying it so far.
What are you enjoying the most of the S25+ vs the iPhone?

I prefer the bigger screen on the Plus. Already have a Tab S9+ tablet so was already used to Android to an extent. Cameras seem decent so far but haven't used them much so far. Battery life is better than the 15 Pro even when leaving data on all day. One UI 7 is pretty nice as well, already customized the lock screen.

So this whole new work iPhone 16 has been a fun experience for a few reasons.

First of all, you CANNOT use a 120hz screen and then go back to 60hz. Scrolling actually messes with my eyes a bit.

Second, I love the size of this phone. That actually is the sweet spot, yet here I am with a giant S25 Ultra, lol.

I got my iOS fix, and it actually confirmed that I made the right decision to switch to Android. I enjoy my S25 Ultra so much more and it's so much more intuitive. iOS is such a mess. It's nice to use here and there but after using the iPhone 16 for the majority of the morning, I couldn't wait to use my Ultra again.

I just switched from my iPhone 16 Plus to the S25 Ultra. No one on the Apple side has figured it out yet, but to be honest I kind of like it. iOS was getting really boring to me. I wanted something different, something more exciting. I wanted to be able to customize my phone more, not the "new" customization that iPhone is trying to put out. I want to have true AOD. I think it's ridiculous that Apple only allows you to have AOD on the Pro models when we all know that the regular model phones are very much capable. I miss real fast charging.

I don't even miss iMessage anymore with RCS messaging. My mom sent me a video the other day and it wasn't even choppy. Which is one of the reasons why I could never fully commit to Android. I hated the choppy videos, like you couldn't even see what was going on properly. Also, no one seems to realize that I'm no longer using iMessage and so far, I've got no complaints. The only time I get complaints is when people are trying to FaceTime me, which is rare. I think the only thing I really miss is MagSafe. I have so many MagSafe accessories around my house and in the car that I can't fully use right now. I have to get a compatible MagSafe case that will be strong enough to hold my accessories. But other than that, I'm ok.

As for my iPhone 16 Plus, I'm going to keep it as a backup. Just in case something happens to this phone, I have another reliable phone to use.

I find this interesting, because I'm the opposite. I've owned Android devices and I still prefer IOS and my iPhone. I do like my S24 Ultra as a second phone, but with the current bugs i'm experiencing in One UI 7, I'm using it less and less. The one thing I will say that I prefer tho, is the zoom on the S24 Ultra, it's far superior to that of my iPhone 15 Pro Max.

I know this is about the S25 Ultra, but One UI 7 is more or less the same (excluding one or two features). To be fair it may just be that because I have multiple Apple devices, it's more convenient and those who have multiple Samsung devices can say the same. Personally I still prefer IOS. I may trade in my S24 Ultra for the Google Pixel 10 OR just scrap it and get the iPhone 17 Pro Max OR if it's just the same as my iPhone 15 Pro Max, wait until the 18. All I know at this point is that I'm in the Apple camp and have no intentions of fully going Android.

After using OneUI 7 for 3 months, it would be really tough for me to go back to iOS as a primary device for several reasons:

- Keyboard. Quite simply, the keyboard on iOS is horrible. I almost forgot about all the typing errors I had but it's really bad. The swipe feature hasn't really shown improvement since it came out. If anything, autocorrect has gotten worse. Gboard is just a completely different experience. Yes I have a few errors here and there, mostly if I'm sending something in a rush, but way less frequent than when I was on iOS.

- Home Screen/Launcher/App Drawer - Launching an app is just so much more seamless. With Good Lock, I have rows of 7, also have my favorite apps on my edge panel for quick access. iOS, you have that horrible App Library that isn't intuitive at all, doesn't allow you to customize, pretty awful experience. Sure you can choose to swipe down and start typing, but it's not as easy and swiping up and most likely being able to click on the icon you need immediately. That's part of a larger convo, but my complaint about Android vs iOS is that Android used to make you click twice as many times as iOS to get where you need to go. That has completely flipped now.

- Multitasking - This is one that is actually quite recent, but I have finally started to take full advantage of multiwindow in cases where I need information from one app to another. It has literally saved me so much time in a few recent scenarios where I just needed to keep an app up and copy it to another. Speaking of that, copy and paste is so much better since you have a clipboard.

I could go on, but if anything sticks out to me, iOS for sure needs a refresh. Once you stop believing that the way iOS does it is better, you realize how much more intuitive and user friendly Android is, especially OneUi.

All I can say is that I'm glad you're happy with it, each to their own in my opinion. It's weird because I'm less happy with One UI 7 than I was with One UI 6.

Well, it’s unfortunate… you might be the only one here in this thread less happy.

I find One UI 7 great… ever since I jumped on the beta. If you judge One UI 7 alone… there’s not really anything new to discover, most of the new features are embedded into Good Lock.

There a ton of cases for the S25 Ultra that have MagSafe magnets built into them.
Try looking on Amazon :)
