I don’t see why anyone would buy an Android tablet.
I bought a Galaxy Tab S5e last year and I can tell you for myself, it's just simply way better value. Mine is used mostly as a media consumption device and the vast majority of content I'm watching is at 16:9. As the S5e is at a 16:10 aspect ratio, vs the 4:3 of the iPad, I'm getting a significantly larger picture on a small bezelled 10.5" display than I would with anything Apple could offer me. And this is before you compare the AMOLED display against what is in a low model iPad and that I have shoved a cheap 512GB SD card into it.
The software available for the iPad is definitely better as there are sooooooo many Android developers that don't even bother to do tablet versions of their software. I'm not referring to iPadOS here as everyone can decide their preference on that one for themselves… there are big pros and cons both ways.
My every day bag when I'm out is an ONA Bowery and the iPad just doesn't fit right in it given the 4:3 aspect ratio whereas the S5e is an easy fit. The only iPad that fits is the iPad mini and I'm no longer caring to go there. And it's considerably lighter so it's not landing on (and denting) my floor anywhere as much when I've fallen asleep.
There are plenty of benefit of having choice. By saying "I don’t see why anyone would buy an Android tablet" you're only closing yourself off to those choices. Everyone has different needs and its great when we can buy with that in mind, even if you're calling price a feature, more and more rather than making choice based on which "camp" you support.
PS I may well have bought the S7 (the S7+ is too big and heavy for what I want) had it had an AMOLED display. Not sure why Samsung went with TFT. I'm sure it's the same idiot thinking that resulted in the plastic Note 20. All I have to say to Samsung on that is "Don't do that!!". I also paused on the extra weight.
