News of the Pixel update being pushed to late January has me close to picking a Fold 3 up. Especially since it should be getting the android 12 update this week.

After using this phone since release, I think the under display camera was a great idea. I was setting up OpenVPN on my friend's Fold 2, and cringed at the camera hole punch.

I got a usi stylus for my chromebook and it works with my galaxy fold 3 as well, nice surprise.
Living dangerously. There's a reason why Samsung only approved the special fold Spen for the Fold 3. Its because other stylus will scratch the inner display.

Ive never understood the two phone setup unless one phone was strictly for work. Carrying two phones at all times would just be a hassle.

I agree on having a tablet. I traded my old iPad Pro for a Galaxy Tab S7+ earlier this year and I enjoy it. Its definitely not as polished as an iPad but the screen is MUCH better and I primarily use it for media while working so its fine for me. I would much rather have a phone+tablet combo than two phones.

Have you received the One UI 4 update yet for the Fold 3? Interested to see what UI improvements it makes.
Umm.. didn’t upgrade to the Fold 3, although the improvements was useful… it wasn’t for me.

Still on the Fold 2, been rocking it since September of last year (will upgrade to Fold 4). And I’m waiting on One UI 4.0… theres already users of the Fold 2 receiving One UI 4.0. I’ll definitely share my thoughts when I receive it.

Welcome back!

Ha will take a while to transfer everything.

I’ve applied for my starter kit and the free galaxy watch 4. Seems they are sending the 40mm silver version. I would say too small for my wrists so may either sell it or see if my dad would want it

I didn’t realise with home up with good lock you can add more rows for apps. One area where I liked using nova

Without Good Lock... I'll definitely would use Nova. But now that 3rd party icons are supported using Theme Park... I'm more excited with using stock launcher. Credit to @Bkdodger.... because I didn't know the feature exist.

The icons in the Samsung Theme Store are abysmal... have tons of 3rd party icon packs from the Play Store, only gripe I have with it... there's no way I can back up icons from Theme Park.

I need to do my research didn’t know about theme park. Can you use any icon size then?

My only issue with nova people are saying it isn’t optimised for the foldables. I know some reporter issues with the lag when going to Home Screen on nova

At first I thought Theme Park was a gimmick.. I didn't really care for it, but it's really useful. From customizing the keyboard, quick panel, icons and volume panel... it works. Good Lock modules was normally the way to customize the Home Screen, but Samsung consolidated it to the point where Theme Park is the best way to make visual changes.

I can't really change the icon size... I can change the shapes of it, but I never do. But I've recently learned through KGWT... you can use 3rd party icons and size them however on the Home Screen, but I don't really care to go through that process.

Definitely a must for themes on Samsung phones ..one of the advantages of OneUI ...I don't see size icons either ...I only stopped 3rd party launchers bc of the smaller outside layout ...it's nice setting up individually on this phone ...

Happy New Year to everyone! My husband has been mesmerized by the Fold 3 since he got it and is using it for work as well as entertainment. He’s been having to take some meetings on it, because he’s been on the go with me for an ongoing extended family emergency. I’m unfortunately not at all sure what exactly he finds so useful and enthralling about it, but he’s been so into this device, he hasn’t even gotten around to unboxing his Apple Watch or iPad mini yet. He says it’s been one of his most favorite Christmas gifts from me, ever. Sigh…I’m not sure how I’m going to match this next year. I’m bummed I ordered it when I did and missed the chance to get some of these great deals. But whatever.

I think if Samsung would give the Fold 3 their best cameras, I’m talking Pixel 6 Pro level quality, he would make it his main phone. It’s definitely his favorite out of the 13 Pro Max, S21 Ultra and Pixel 6 Pro.

Will certainly give it a try, got to admit using good lock I miss it when I’ve tried other phones

Big reason I wanted the fold 3 was for S pen support so I’m looking forward to when the free gift arrives with the case as currently I have no case.

Granted I wanted it a lot for web browsing and media when on sofa or on my break at work but the S pen is something I love and I’m sure I will make good use out of it on the bigger display

Samsung's s pen case sucks. Spigen's Thin P case rocks. Just my opinion...

Reviews certainly don’t seem to be positive but my plan is really to use it to help protect the phone when it’s in my tech bag or when on the side at home etc. the main thing is the S pen for me plus a free 25w power brick is always welcome these days ha

I may look at the spigen case but got to admit I don’t really want more bulk for what I plan to use the phone as. If it was my main phone where I take it everywhere no doubt a case would be more important for me. This will be my small tablet type of experience when on my break at work and at home on the sofa

I haven’t had a foldable yet, I’m going to wait on the new s22 before deciding which to chose between the fold 3 and that

Plastic on plastic isn't going to scratch.
That's a factually incorrect statement. Plastic can definitely scratch plastic. There's a reason Samsung made a special Spen for the Fold3. Its because it has a spring loaded tip so that too much pressure isn't applied to the screen. By using a 3rd party stylus, you run the risk of scratching the display. If you do, you can bet that Samsung will say you voided your warranty.
