So has anyone found a protector that holds up well?

My experience has been with two brands so far:

ArmorSuit:
It covered the entire screen edge to edge and stayed put (corners didn't peel). However, it had a pretty obvious orange peel effect and dented/scratched easily. So I went through 2 in roughly two weeks.

IQ shield:
Also covered entire screen edge to edge (maybe not 100% like armorsuit but pretty close). Less of an orange peel effect compared to armorsuit. But the corners peel within a day's use. I have gone through at least 5 (of a 10 pack, no wonder why the send so many) in a months time. I get a tad ocd when the corners peel so I replace the screen protector.

Now I could be ballsy and go without a protector but if they're available, why not have that extra insurance? Especially since a few times I've accidentally ran the face across something whether out and about or at the gym. This has damaged whichever protector I had on, but not the face.

So has anyone else has a protector that's lasted at least a month+ and is edge to edge?

I use the Armorsuitand have not experienced any orange peel effect, but I have gone through several because they got scratched. I just bought another pair from them under their lifetime warranty for $1.99 and will keep doing that as necessary I think. I figure that if I didn't have it on then I probably would have scratched the crystal.

Just try to apply with without any orange peel, it can be done. JMO

Update:

So I got a monoy screen case and it is pretty great. I got the gray color and it blends perfect into the SGS. The only complaint is when I'm working out, it fogs up a bit on the inside of the case.

Also I bought a pack of skinomi protectors as I've read on various sites they are by far the best yet for the watch. I applied one last night and it was definitely the easiest out of the protectors I've put on. It took less than five minutes and the edges even went down easily. It's edge to edge, scratch resistant, waterproof and pretty damn clear. I'll see how this holds up in a week and report back. But ease of install is 5/5

I have had 3 types of protector on my watch so far. They have all been horrible to use or simply fell off. I would rather pay the £100 or whatever for a new screen once it gets too scratched up. If I somehow drop it and brea it I am covered by my house insurance anyway.

How do screen protectors work with exercising?
I tried the Monoy snap on plastic cover, it worked well enough other then showing finger prints and more importantly condensation showing up on my run. I'd rather see moisture in between the snap on case and the watch. Will the zagg suffer from this malady as well?

I got this one
the Armor Suit and I liked it for a while. Didn't have much orange peel effect at all. Then after a while the corners started coming up. It happen on both of the two that it came with. Debating if its even worth trying something else.

I got a Baseus full cover tempered glass from aliexpress last month.
Excellent touch screen responsiveness, hard to tell it's there and feels much better than those garbage plastic ones.

No issues with my BSE skin. No bubbles and no peeling. Very pleased with it.
I've gone through 3 of my 4 BSE protectors in a month. Any contact with a solid surface at all causes damage. Armorshield was equally bad, I bought the BSE hoping for an improvement. The wet application protectors are very weak compared to static application pet films and obviously tempered glass. On my phones I put one protector on and that's usually all I need for the life of the device, the watch is very different. Actually it's the type of protector that is the difference and the watch really requires the wet application type.

So I have now gone through 6 Armorsuit screen protectors since the end of April. So thats 4 months and 6 protectors. I've been supportive of this product but I am getting tired of changing these out roughly every 2-3 weeks. But without them would my watch be scratched to sh*t?

I've heard these are better and they seem to cover more of the display:

The extended coverage goes down beyond the display.

I caved and traded my sport up to a Stainless AW this afternoon. The manager of the Apple store gave me full credit towards the AW even though I took delivery of my Sport watch on May 1st. I will not use a protector on my new watch.

I felt like the peace of mind was worth the $200 plus I got a new sport band and will not have to buy Apple care plus. (Thats how I rationalized it. ;) )

Really? How did that work?

I just went in and asked for a manager. When he came over I nicely explained the situation to him:
  1. I love my watch 99% but am extremely frustrated. A love/hate sort of thing.
  2. My only reservation is that I am paranoid about scratching the screen and the protectors are lasting me 2 weeks!
  3. I would be 100% satisfied if I had the SS because then I wouldn't have to use a protector.
  4. I own 2 additional bands too.
He didn't push back at all and just made it happen. $215 later I had a new watch. :)

I got the "Best Skins Ever" extended coverage. Put the protection on and let set for 48 hours. Go for a jog, and the skin bubbles up at the corners. All 4 protectors did this. Would NOT recommend that product.

Just installed a Skinomi TechSkin and the screen looks like complete crap now with the protector on. It's blurry and it has that annoying rainbow effect. Is this something that goes away as it sets or is the Skinomi just a piece of junk? If so, any protectors out there that don't have that rainbow effect?

Anyone tried the Skinomi screen protectors? Just looking for a heads up on a rating on them etc?
edit: just seen yg17's comment on them, anyone else?

Was tempted with the Zagg ones

Cheers

I had a zagg screen saver put on by the zagg kiosk that sits outside of my local apple store So far its pretty good. It only cost me 20 bucks so if I don't like it, I'm not out serious money. Its not noticeable and its giving me an increased level of scratch resistance.

I've had the Sport since mid June and (knock on wood) everything is ok. I've had this Zagg HD Clear Invisible Shield on the watch face since day one - about 85% protection it wraps around the screen, but not 100%) very clear and you can't really tell there is a screen on it ..close calls with scratching the face.

I did have a VERY close call tonight though. At the grocery store, open the fridge to grab half & half and without thinking I grab it with my left hand, watch on and hit it on the metal shelf, the edges on them are pretty sharp.

Quick jerked my hand out and check the watch..nice gouge on the protective shield, (Im kinda freaking out, ticked as well since Im not 100% sure if it screwed up the watch face also) came home the shield actually "healed" itself for the most part, the actual watch face was perfectly fine! So yeah, I'd love to have the piece of mind of the sapphire face...maybe with version 2 I will...if I decide to get it. As long as I have the Sport, I will have a protective film on the face. For me - being the klutz that I am, it's a no brainer
