You know nothing, you guys thought you would surely have 2 gb this year...sorry but Apple knows they can sell millions with 1 gb of ram and there customers would still buy the iPhone no matter what..I believe you guys are stuck with 1 gb for another couple years lol

Why the hell are so rude? I outlined possible reasons for why Apple stuff with 1GB RAM this year. I know next they will have 2.

Furthermore 1GB is not important to normal customers AT ALL! So it wouldn't matter how much RAM the iPhone had.

Would that remain your tone if the Note had won I wonder?

Seems benchmarks are only 'relevant' in the 'real world' when the platform of choice 'wins'
you can always choose benchmarks to fit in your case, but can you see the difference between two devices irl? probably not on these days. and bencmarks are just numbers, apps in real world dont check benchmarks... they arent optimized, they crash, freeze etc...

anyway, i still dont know how to compare note4 and iphone6+ together when they are from differend worlds. the other one is just a big phone while the other one is a phone based on functionalities... and no, im not going to buy note4 - im not even interested in it and i must say, im disappointed to samsung as a company... im not going to get iphone6+ either. but i do have Note tablet, already 2 years old and working still like a charm nowadays, and i must say if i need to choose, i would get note4 rather than iphone6+ - just because note4 is much more than an ordinary big phone...

I'm not saying you, but some on here are a bit selective in what is important to customers. Is 64bit important? Well, I'd say no unless it impacts performance or offers a tangible benefit. So on the same topic, would 2gb RAM provide a better experience? Would it help with safari force closing when too many tabs are open? Would it help the stuttering seen in Safari when opening graphics intensive pages? Etc. etc. If it did help, then would that be important to the consumer, and would the consumer even be savvy enough to attribute the increased performance to the RAM?

That's the thing, an average consumer knows nothing of that sort. That's why is tech people shouldn't call normal consumers dumb(or imply so) Cameras and being able to play a game smoothly or have long battery life are probably more important to them.

Yep, but I think the smart ones have already figured out that tech specs are mostly useless. Not all of them are useless, but the vast majority of what people argue over on these forums in terms of tech specs are useless. Buy the phone, if it's slow or doesn't do what you want there is a return period. If it's really an issue with consumers then manufacturers will listen according to their sales.

Just as an aside though that normal consumers being dumb is just a tad bit perpetuated by Apple. They tout how simple their OS is, and at times also brag about how hardware isn't important. Seeing the limitations in iOS makes me cringe at what I call the dumbification of the average consumer. But I also understand that the average consumer just wants to check email and look at the web even if they have a complicated laptop, so it's certainly not black and white. I do find it humorous whenever someone calls me and asks why they cannot do X or Y on their ipad, not something they do every day but something that does baffle them why they can't do it on a "computer".

I just find it interesting that when Apple faithful say things like this it's called an excuse for lack of innovation. Yet when Android fans do its all of a sudden the rational way of thinking.

And that's the problem with platform arguments. It's never a level playing field because the focus and points of argument are always shifting based on personal biases.

Well, I would love to respond to you, however I have exam tutorials so I'll give my opinion in this later.

Agreed.....I would also add personal needs.... I use both platforms. I feel they both lack enough hardware and software features for me to choose one or the other full time.

I'm the same way. There are things I love about both. If only there was some way to combine android and iOS, plus sprinkle in some webos and windows.

Ideally, I would want iOS apps with continuity, iMessage, FaceTime, apple email, icloud, backup, find my iPhone, apple pay, and iTunes with android ui, features, Google now, android wear compatibility (for my moto 360), webos gestures, bb10 keyboard, multi window, and windows one os on an HTC one m8 with smaller bezels, a Nokia camera, Motorola customizations and quick charge, Samsung AMOLED display, spen, removable back, apples screen lamination, curved glass and lightning connector, and Sony battery life and waterproofing. That would be my perfect phone.

If a phone doesn't have an operating system you enjoy using or provide an experience to your tastes, it's irrelevant what the spec sheet says, let's face it. 'If' I had to choose out of these two devices it would be the Plus, simply because it runs iOS. Whether it is slightly faster or slower makes absolutely no difference to me.

Exactly. Choice of OS matters for most people more than specs do. Both Android and iOS fans quote the specs and benchmarks that prove their point at the given moment, and ignore any other. Why can't we just be open about the fact that we prefer one OS or the other instead of trying to "justify" our opinion with specs and anecdotes?

:D I'm not rude....my words just makes your precious iPhone look bad...that's all :D

"Precious"? Get of your high horse
I have a Nexus and have entertained the idea of perhaps a Note 4, 6+ or Lumia 1520. Just because I'm not as biased as you doesn't mean I love iPhones. Stop assuming ****.

You must be pleased with yourself.

And judging from your post history you're very condescending and incredibly biased.

He is actually pushing me away from this subforum, as much as I love discussion, you can't exactly HAVE a discussion with him. I wonder why hr even signed up? To troll perhaps?
