frankly, if it were me I would return it for a refund within 14 days.

Yes, I know you cant get a replacement yet... but its worth waiting for new stock.

You have a window NOW that you can get a full refund rather than worrying about boxed and saleable item.... just get your money back.

Is it because they refuse to replace your new phone with a new phone?

You always get a refurbished model and you never know where it’s been?

JUst wanted to say, my brother got a launch 13 Pro, it arrived with a dead pixel. He went the same route for a swap out as it was faster/easier/more possible right after launch than a return/replace (esp. since he had already turned in his trade in and had no other phone to fall back to). Went smoothly and he’s still happy with the 13 pro 2 years later.

For OLED, LG is the worst!
What reasoning have you got for this?

I beg to differ, I haven't got one of their CX range of televisions but I know their oled EVO panel is in my current one from a different manufacturer, everytime we watch even a year on the quality is amazing.

It's absurd. LG OLED televisions are great. And go look at all the problem Samsung OLEDs are having, especially in the monitor/gaming space.

They must be doing something right as they're used in Sony Bravia XR , Hisense, Philips, Panasonic and other televisions.

Even Samsung have admired defeat and given the win on oled to LG.

No valid facts to back up the original "LG are the worst" as the majority of manufacturers seemingly go to them for their panel needs.

They did for a couple of years, but they are now back in the game with QD-OLED. They are now very good as well.

But i prefer WebOS to Tizen, so my choice would still be LG.

Yes thats why I say return it and wait to re-purchase it later.

For sure the replacements now will be brand new just not in a retail box.

Refurbished is not was bad as people make out. They always have brand new screens and bodies.... it's just the innards that are re-used so to all intents and purposes it's a new phone really.

But, like I said, if any of this bothers the OP, then take advantage of the returns window and get a full refund and wait a bit to buy another.

Until Samsung TVs support Dolby Vision, they aren‘t a consideration for me.

QD-OLED is good. Unfortunately, Samsung QC issues persist. The latest is their new G9 OLED panel is spontaneously popping and cracking. Samsung also had a huge problem with monitor scan lines, also recent. I have written off everything Samsung after multiple product failures (TV, appliances).

That is incorrect. Apple has three models: factory new (M), replacement (N), and refurbished (F). This early, replacement devices are factory new but not in a retail box. There won’t be many (or any) actually refurbished devices for a while.

Apple is using random 10 digits for serial numbers. So you cant tell if its brand new or refurbished.

I’m sad to say I’m seeing the same issue. Not quite as severe, but very visible at low brightness and in a dark room. It isn’t noticeable to me at normal brightness or during the day. I’ve tried multiple reboots and it absolutely stays exactly the same after a reboot.

I don’t have another phone handy at the moment to take a picture of the issue, but I’ll take one tomorrow.

What’s strange is I’m only seeing this at low brightness on a grey background. Specifically, I first noticed it on the Gmail dark mode grey background. I took a screenshot of this grey and I can consistently replicate the issue. And yet, it does not occur for me with a black background at all. This is not what I would expect with burn-in normally, but I’m no expert.

I’m watching this thread. I’ll be eager to see what your resolution is. I’ll give my phone a few days and see what happens from here with this issue—whether it gets better or worse and then take it up with Apple Support.

Is this on Pro Max?

I want to take advantage of the 15's all-new design and want to feel the Titanium in my hands.

I'm still waiting, still a month away and all this NEGATIVITY is pushing me closer to getting Apple Care+ for the first time.

I feel your apprehension, I'm genuinely worried about my iUP reservation coming into stock, all these issues are just making me worry.

This and the DFU mode erroring out bug are my main ones at the moment

And here’s what mine looks like
