Just went to Grand Central, nothing there.

Try 5th Ave and Upper East Side.

Also 5th Ave in NYC has them now. Just picked one up. They had a handful on the shelves too as of 9:10 am ET. Sounds like they may have more in the back.

I first hit Grand Central and they were out, but a helpful rep looked at his handheld POS device and say 5th Ave and the Upper East Side (I believe he said) had them. I ran to and from the subway (a bit unnecessarily, but good to get the exercise). I suspect as the morning comes around and more stores process their inventory, we may see wider availability. But who knows...

I've been calling the Lancaster, PA store twice a day, asking to speak with a manager, and they always told me they have never received any stock.

Then I had a friend who had a business account call and ask and they put two aside for him. They kind of smuggled it out to us in a bag so no one would see it.

If you know anyone with a business account, that is the way to do it. I didn't believe they were holding stock, but I now consider that CONFIRMED.

Called the Apple Store at Village Pointe in Omaha, the lady took her time checking so I'm sure she actually checked, she said they did not have any in at this time. However my business team contacts mentioned that in the Midwest shipments usually arrive midday, so there is still hope!

On a funny note she tried to sell me on buying a 53 pencil instead and returning it when the Apple pencil is in stock. She seemed kind of uncertain of her words, almost like she was reading a script. I wonder if that is what they're being told to say when people call and ask if the pencils in stock.

That is terrible. Makes no sense and is complete garbage.

If we are eligible for a 2% business discount bc my company has a relationship with Apple, is that the same as a "business account"?

You have to open a business account with Apple. You can get 5% discounts if you spend $5000.

Struck out again at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda MD. No pencils or keyboards. I'm going in daily until I walk out with a pencil.

This practice of hording stock for business customers is a load of crap. Someone needs to do a sting and videotape this as it happens and post it online. It is the only way Apple will stop doing this.

Cambridgeside Galleria Apple Store Boston Ma. Has smart keyboards in stock but no pencils. Not only did none come in today but as I mentioned in an earlier post the employees are also eagerly awaiting the chance to purchase. As I work near by and have been coming in twice a day we are developing a friendly competition on who can buy one first.
Cambridgeside had a few left a couple of minutes ago, was able to get one. Go!
