What?!! I was there at 11 and they told me they had none. Had to go all the way to Georgetown.
Just picked one up at Cambridgeside galleria in Boston, Ma. The guy said they just got a shipment of them today. Got there an hour after opening too! I also saw another customer buying one with an iPad pro. The employee seemed to think the shortage was over.
BTW. Went to the Boston flagship location 1st at 10am and they didn't have any. The employee at Cambridgeside said they probably just hadn't unpacked them yet. KEEP THE FAITH. Try your local stores early afternoon.

For what it's worth, for those surprised that they were just at an Apple Store and had no pencils but now people report they do, I just called my store (I'm on West Coast, it's only 9:56 here).. Anyway, I called and the guy was like, we probably get our shipments around 12, you could call us then, and then, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but he kinda stuttered like he was reconsidering and was like, "If you can, you should probably just come down at noon and we may have some..."
So maybe they get in around noonish. I know on Sunday I went to the Apple Store and the guy was like, none in now, and we get no shipments Sunday or Monday so the first day to check back is Tuesday.
Take that for whatever help it may give?

Had they recieved their shipment for the day? I called earlier and they hadn't received their daily shipment of inventory.
They weren't forthcoming with that information. They suggested that I just order it online. I'm tempted because parking is such a pain there even though I can't wait to get my hands on one!
Interesting... I got similar from Arrowhead this morning. Was 2nd in line, he said "I heard there's a rumor we have some today, let me have a runner check the back". Then they had 0 stock, then he said to call around noon today.
On Saturday I had another guy say that they got their shipments by 8am and so opening was the best time to check, but who knows? I get different answers every single time I ask.
Friend has my Apple Pencil in hand. Said there were like 10 left at SoHo location.
The Easton Town Center store in Columbus, OH just got a small amount in around 1:00 pm EST. Sorry - didn't think to ask specifically how many but they said they didn't have a whole lot at the time I called. Also had some keyboards.
It's annoying. Good news is many reports state it is fixed in iOS 9.2 beta 3. Hopefully they will release this soon.
Back to pencils. Business team in Salem NH store called. They let me purchase their one remaining pencil via my account over the phone. I pick it up later today.
none on shelves apparently.I live an hour away from the nearest Apple stores in Orlando. This is Frustrating because even if someone found pencils there, it would be highly unlikely for them to still be there after my hour drive. I wish apple would reenable in store pick up. Seems like my only chance to get one before thanksgiving break!
God I just wish I had an apple store nearby! Want one so bad to test out with notes in class but can't get one until it ships end of December!
