I've called about 4 stores so far, no luck. But I must say, everyone i've talked to is very nice.

Well I went to pick my iPad up Friday night and to also replace my iPhone for problems I have had. He told me I missed the last pencil by not even 5 minutes...drove an hour and a half for it and can't do that anytime soon with 2 jobs and school.I have about 4 stores nearby, ain't doing me any good. I've already called about 4 times, various stores. Don't know how many more times I can muster this. But I must say, everyone i've talked to is VERY nice. No signs of impatience, which is what they certainly must be
I just called a store that is an hour away. They said they had some, but couldn't tell me how many and couldn't hold them. Or sell them to me over the phone. I can't leave work for another two hours... Is it worth 2 hours in the car for the risk... Now I am finally getting annoyed.
Apple Store fashion place mall Utah... Just got one, said they had more but didn't know how many (had just come in)
A lot of people are calling these stores. Kinda funny actually.
Having heard somebody got the pencil at 5th avenue, I went there immeddiatetly. I got mine just now! There are still dozens there on the shelf! I want upload a picture of that, can't do that over my cellphone....
Confirming inventory as of around 11:30am at 5th Ave. NYC. About five left on the shelf when I was there. I bought two, can part with one.
Sell it to me?

Was actually going there hoping for a Smart Keyboard, and though the guy went in the back and said they had none, he did say they had ALOT of Pencils in the back.
Take that with a grain of salt obviously, but this was at around 12:15 PM. so anyone in the area that's looking for a pencil may want to check it out! (again make sure they look in the back)

Do you think the Apple Stores or Best Buy will have sufficient stock of these before the (now) Apple estimated shipping date of December 18th-28th for Apple.com ordering?
Well, I wasted my time walking up to georgetown after they said they had some available. They were all gone, and I am sure there were a few nasty scalpers who bought more than one so they can sell for a profit. Just horrible.
Yes. I think Best Buy stock will be limited, but Apple should continue to receive shipments daily, getting larger as they fulfill more orders online. I think by December 10th or so, everyone who wants a pencil should have one. Hopefully I can snag one tonight though

Good luck! I'm digging the hell out of the iPad Pro, but I am so ready to put Astropad through it's paces and make this a Cintiq killer!
Curious as well. I've given up for the most part so I stopped calling stores. Someone posted yesterday Michigan Ave got a bunch. I might call Lincoln Park store before heading out from work just to see, otherwise I have a day off Thursday or Friday and might just camp out for a morning.
Struck out at both Apple Stores in the Milwaukee area (Bayshore and Mayfair).
They had one at Bayshore, but priority went to a "Business Customer".

Yeah, I stop by deer park every day before and after work and they haven't had any yet. Sounds,like a whole bunch came to stores today so hope they've got some!
It seems that there is a trend from east coast to west coast being supplied....a sort of "manifest destiny" of the supply chain!
As much as I hate to admit it, because I, like all of you, really want a damn Pencil...at least it's exciting and keeping my mind off of all the "cool" relatives I get to hang with at Thanksgiving.
