My two local stores had none but did get some keyboards that were all called for from in store pickups the other day.

On another note does anyone's pencil orders say "we've received your order" instead of processing? I'm a little concerned because usually it turns to processing by now.

My Pencil says "Processing Items - Available to ship: 1-2 weeks // Delivers: 20 Nov - 30 Nov"
 
Arrowhead Apple Store - Glendale, AZ at store opening this morning. They're telling people to just order it online to get it "faster"... 4-5 weeks.

tekchic... we are in same town. Have you been checking the other stores, too? Arrowhead is my closest store and, like you, they tell me to order it online. I do have one on order, but am hoping to get one locally.

I've called Biltmore and San Tan and am getting the same responses. I'm hoping maybe Best Buy will have some stock at some point that I can snap up by checking for store availability -- but it looks like they haven't even gotten one yet because the "Add to Cart" button just says "Coming Soon". For now, I stare at my "Processing 1-2 weeks" on Apple.com.

Good luck on the hunt and we'll have to keep each other in the loop! :)
 
I think stores will be hit or miss, I also don't think most store employees will know when they are getting them in. I have a pencil on order through Apple and through Staples. Staples claiming I should receive delivery by November 20th. Apple is the middle of December. I have a feeling ill be able to pick one up in store before the Apple delivery LOL
 
The App Store app show 4-5 weeks for Apple Pencil. Best Buy, Staples, B&H show coming soon or out of stock.

Has anyone called a store or asked in the store? What did they say? Where was the store?
There is no one to ask, right a letter to Jobs (RIP)

Mine has been "processing" since a few hours after I made the order.
 
I remain optimistic of getting the pencil much sooner. During the Apple Watch launch, my actual shipping date occurred almost 2 1/2 weeks from my listed shipping date. My credit card was charged and my shipping status changed the morning before I received the product as well.

I'm hoping this is the case, the idea of not getting the Pencil until around Christmas is... very depressing for me. I suppose I've been waiting for this like 7 years already, but still...
 
To clarify, Northbrook IL? You're saying they have the Pencil? I live in the city but work in Evanston, may have to drive up to Northbrook and pick it up...
No...meant to say they had the keyboard, but when I got there they only had the Logitech one.

As someone posted earlier. When you can the listed number ask to speak with the manager. That way you can speak to someone at the store. That's the best way. They will be able to tell you what they have in the stock room. The phone reps can't see that.

Thanks for the follow-up. Yeah I called the store and found out they didn't have Pencil. Oh well. My last hope is showing up at two stores tomorrow morning as they open and trying my best to pick 'em up, otherwise I'm just going to stop and wait for my online orders to ship. Too much effort calling all these stores. Really ticked Apple couldn't get this launch right.

Sucks they had a few more when I left. Hope you get one soon...it's REALLY nice.
 
Zero at Christiana Mall store in Newark, DE.

I asked when I picked mine up today, if they had any more... I got a "are you kidding?" stare.

Unfortunately, it's probably going to be hit or miss for the next week or two. Still have another on order and I'll probably keep it as well as a backup.
 
Called Los Gatos Apple Store, they said that they received a "small" amount of Pencils this morning but sold out immediately...

None in Boston. One employee I talked to was constantly refreshing his ordering unit because he wanted one too. No luck. when their delivery arrived there weren't any pencils or keyboards in it.

The iPad pro I was able to purchase was at a location that the online store listed as not having it in stock. The employee said they list unavailable online if there isn't more than a couple available.
 
Went to the philly store to try the pencils out, and I was told that they did get a few in today, but sold out quickly. I'll probably try again next week.
 
for those of you who call to ask for availability, the fact is usually the one who answers the phone may not have any idea what they actually have. yeah, even if you ask for 'manager' or 'supervisor' to be transferred directly to the store.

when i called this morning, i was told, few keyboards, no pencil. but the fact is i just got my pencil an hour later at that store.

Lucky to have snagged one in store yesterday! Hopefully more stock for you all asap.
 
Is it worth it to go in on a Saturday? Will they get shipments tomorrow? And there is probably no way of knowing when they would arrive...
