Perfect example of good use of shooting RAW. I think people automatically assume that shooting RAW will give you a better picture. I’m a newbie, but I enjoy taking photos. From my experience, the best time to shoot in RAW is in non ideal conditions where you are going to make significant amount of edits. If you are not, really no need. Great pics.

Yeah. I've been doing a lot of shots of things/places that I have processed RAW shots of from my quality compact and DSLR and they compare extremely well. You can see the differences on a large monitor or if tightly cropped, but with normal viewing on my 12.9 iPad Pro they are almost indistinguishable.

For the pixel-peepers out there, this is a 100% crop out of a telephoto (2.5x) shot, ProRAW processed in desktop Lightroom. Homes at top of the photo are 0.7 miles away.

No, they could potentially look worse. Only use it if you plan to edit after.

No, they could potentially look worse. Only use it if you plan to edit after.

Plus, if you do no editing you only have the raw DNG image, no JPEG.

I just edit in the raw built in camera. I have no need to use anything else personally.
