I am not even know what I am doing first time editing raw 😂

Side question, i'm trying to look for a decent program to "try" editing RAW photos with but don't want to outright spend money quite yet on one.

I am trying lightroom which i thought I read that you couldn't edit DNG (Raw) photos, but it seems to be letting me. Was I automatically enrolled in the 7 day trial?

Lightroom for mobile allows for RAW editing without subscription fees.
If you like to edit RAW on a computer, RAW Therapee is open-source and free to use : http://rawtherapee.com

First and third image are original. Second image after tuning of exposition recovered the stars from the sky.
Fourth image recovered details, and removed an annoying flare spot in the bottom right.
I am very happy of the pro raw!!!

Somewhat related, but before proraw, were you guys saving the jpegs or heic files ?

Thanks for this, seems to be reviewed well (not too many current reviews since Apple added pro RAW) but the price seems to be "right".

is this a pretty simple program to use for beginners?

easiest would be to start editing in apples photos app. and when you are looking for more RAW Power is pretty good. you can start there with easy edits and progress to more. that's what i did.

Nice photos.

When you zoom into the last photo the snow is purplish and pink instead of white Is that from the reflection? I noticed a lot of these night photos have golden amber yellowish tint. Is that from the phone camera?
Yes, that'd be reflection in the snow.

The tint is because of the street lights. While most of the NYC street lamps have been converted to LED, there's still a fair amount of sodium vapor lamps, which glow yellow/orange.
