So you think a product only introduced this year, not even available everywhere yet, will get its next version next month?

Why would you believe such ridiculous nonsense? What was the last electronic product from anyone that got a new version 6 months?

Apple hasn't even finished rolling out the iPad everywhere: http://mashable.com/2010/07/26/ipad-launch-delayed/. They can't even keep them in stock in the markets it is in.

Why do we get this same brain dead question every week?
 
Yea, it is going to be released September 10th. It will have both a front and rear camera and be fully compatible with Face Time. It is also going to include an optional Mac OS X dual boot. The biggie though is the price will be cut in half.

Sheesh, where do these people come from? Have you ever heard about search?

Have you heard about the search feature? Well to be fair the HTC Android phones rarely seem to get to as much as 6 months before a new model is released. I agree it's not likely that there'll be a new iPad in September though.

Buy an iPad, you won't regret it. Deliberating on the matter so close to launch will mean you will never ever buy anything because something newer might be round the corner.

Buy it and enjoy it (you will because it is awesome), and then if you want to upgrade you can sell it and the newer one will only require a much smaller cash injection.

If I get an iPad, i will get the 64G 3G WiFi. I have an iPhone 4 data plan that gives me 6G for $30 and I can tether an iPad to that plan, so I do not need another data plan

I think the rumours you are referring to were regarding the release of the current iPad - it only arrived here in NZ 3 weeks ago under heavy speculation that the introduction would be delayed due to world-wide shorages. The exact date was not revealed until a couple of day prior to the release and as the month of July was drawing to a close (originally Apple had only said "Coming in July").

I'm a more rational and logical kind of guy, so I believe that the iPad will stay exactly the same until April/May of 2011 - a 12 month product cycle is more reasonable for computer products - with minor price drops in time to stimulate sales for the 2010 Christmas period.

It'll be white too. That's why there's no white iPhones around. All the white is being held back for the next gen iPad. If you're reading this on a mac, be careful... Apple may reclaim all that white space around the letters on the page.
