My opinion: all guys should go with 42. I think it looks better than 38. When I took my 42 out of the box, it looked pretty small and I thought they made a mistake and sent me 38. Also, by no means I have large hand or wrist.

There are many men who have very thin wrists. If the watch doesn't overwhelm it, then the band (esp. the single-size classic buckle and Milanese loop) coming all the way back around up to the watch case surely will.

I've seen a number of pictures here on MacRumors of men with thin wrists wearing the 42mm ML and the magnetic closure comes nearly back up to the watch case. Clearly the band is too long for them, but of course they only come in one size. They would have been better off with the smaller, shorter 38mm version. On me, the 42mm ML magnetic closure comes to the mid point on wrist.

That's fine, but my opinion is that a categorical statement like that is silly since everyone's physique is different. There are plenty of pictures in this very thread where I feel the guy should've chosen a 38 ... the 42 looks clownish on some thin wrists, but that's just my opinion ;).

Bulk up son! Just messing with you. I like bigger things. Opinions count bro.

42mm Space Black

Here's a few photos of my 42mm Space Black with the Space Black Link Bracelet and with a White Sports Band.

Hopefully they'll bring out a Product RED sport band or Leather loop too.

I thought I'd post the many faces (ha) of mine - it's a 38mm Sport (silver aluminum) and I got the blue Sport Band originally. I then added a white Sport Band, and a friend gave me their M/L half of the green Sport Band. I added a 22mm leather band with some generic lugs and also got a knockoff leather classic buckle off of eBay (there's too much left/right play with the band for my liking, but I'll probably find a use for the lugs).

I'm really looking forward to official lugs and third-party bands (a grey Sport Band-style option would be great!)

Also, I'm trying it Hockenberry-style and a wet-apply screen protector.

My link bracelet finally arrived. I had to remove all 8 of the removable links, but it fits perfectly *phew*!

Picked up my package earlier this morning from ups and went straight to work.So I got off work early and took it to the Apple Store still wrapped in the plastic and opened it there, everyone was around me while I was doing the unboxing, apparently I was the first customer to come in with the watch . They all clapped and put me on blast in front of everyone haha, it was kind of embarrassing ,but pretty cool at the same time ! Lol

Loving my size and my choice of color !!! Wow . Love this thing .

What size did you get?!

I currently have the 38mm WSB Sport model, and still am questioning the size on me. I like how the 38 fits my wrist, but keep wondering if the 42 would be nicer with the slightly larger screen.

What do you guys think? I'm torn... The first picture is my current watch, and the 2nd and 3rd are from my first try on appointment, with the 42mm Space Gray BSB Sports model.

I think the 38 looks good. You could go with 42 also but IMO I would lean toward the 38.

Arm Models

If I see one more hairy gross arm that is not my own I will throw up. Kidding.

I rolled on the floor after reading your post.
I never knew just how many people had hairy and/or just plain unattractive hands/arms/wrists. Funny thing, though, is they don't seem to be embarrassed at all because they are posting the photos proudly here.
I realize that may not sound very nice but that's my opinion

Okay, I said it and I'll stand by it. Notice how I didn't point out any particular photo or person . . . so I didn't really call anyone out on it. It's one of those "if the shoe doesn't fit; keep marching on" comments ;)

Oh, no I'm going down under for that one

Just remember . . . you started it.

Just asking out of curiosity. Why did you take your package to the Apple Store?

Glad you got your watch and love it as much as some of us, here, do! :)

That's the first thing I did too, was swap out the band for a white one. I really like it.
Image

I tried doing a swap from the black to the white band for my SGS but stupid guys at Apple said that the white band wasn't compatible with my watch. # I'm pretty upset right now because they even said if I bought another band of any color and if I had any problems they wouldn't be able to do anything warranty wise because it wasn't compatible with my device to begin with. I was like WTFF MAN?! That's ridiculous!!! So, I'm having my husband pick up a couple bands for me tomorrow. I love your combo btw.
