Nobody I trust well enough for that, so I'm stuck waiting and looking at your pictures. Made my mind up what I want though, so that's one thing sorted :D

I live in Eindhoven and ordered a blue 38 mm yesterday through my company in Germany. It is expected to ship today. Got a call from a apple support employee saying so.

I decided to wait for the white 42mm instead. So this one is going up for sale i guess...

Good luck out there! And i am in the same boat as you lot.

I caved.....sold my SGS for profit and bought a 38mm White Sport for cost from Utah's version of Craigslist. I like the way the white looks a lot more, and the 38mm vs the 42mm isnt a huge difference, but I will likely get myself a SS after supplies are available in a few months :)

I'm going for the 42mm SS WSB, as soon as Apple decides we're worthy enough

Well, I do understand that you don't trust anybody well enough for that. I got luck that the ones where I have the Apple Watch shipped to aren't tech savvy at all. They just don't really care about technology like I do. So I'm not afraid that they will keep it or so. :p

There's quite an amount of people who order an Apple Watch, just to see how quick it ships. That makes it harder for the serious buyers to get one, doesn't it? xD

By the way, I live near Eindhoven. So I can expect to see you walking around with an Apple Watch soon?

Phew. That photo scared me for a minute. I made my decision based on the old pebble steel and for a second there I thought the 38mm was actually way smaller.

What a strange optical illusion.

I have a 170mm wrist so I think I'll prefer the smaller size.

You cant judge Photos for the size.
I can show you a Picture with a 38mm on my 150mm wrist which look huge and i can show you a picture where the 38mm looks really small on my wrist.
As I learned today, it depends on what you want to have.
If you doesnt feel bad if your watch looks like a smart watch and our wrist is above 170mm and a with of 55-60mm you can pick the 42mm without a Problem.
But you must tryon the watch... really... Both watches are small watches and the 38mm looks really small under the glass tabel. It looks less small on your wrist, but in my opinion still small.

I like tho show you this Picture. The Pebble Steel body has the same size as the 38mm Apple Watch, but the photo does not show this. Really weird.

lol i did not ... i nearly threw it away :eek::eek: i thought thats just the usual instruction paper crap

yes its 38 mm. do u think i should have gotten the bigger one? my casio is about the same size. a bit smaller even. i am quite skinny so i dont think the bigger one would look good on me and rather "out of place".

You could rock the 42mm just fine.

I like your style...you got swag!

Posted this in the 'Stylist' sticky thread but thought it might be informative here as well:

It is really interesting how the watch color and picture vs. real life make such a HUGE difference in the way it actually looks on a wrist.

Every wrist picture I've seen of the 42mm SG w/ Black Band makes it look gigantic. The same pics of the 42mm White Sport don't look nearly as big. Also - having tried both on a couple times at the store, the 38mm is quite a bit smaller in person than the pics here make it. Same with the 42mm.

The color thing makes sense to an extent on how perception of size can change based on shadings. And my theory of why the pictures don't really convey the real life perception of the size is that the proximity and angle 95% of these wrist shots are taken are just too zoomed in and provide no real context.

That is why I took this pic (not the best pic but I think it gives a truer feel for the size on my wrist in proportion to my body)...

Yes you are right.
Is this 42mm? And I think your wrist is at least 175mm?

38mm looks really good there. The larger 42mm will probably require you to stick with the sports band. As you can see on your 38, the excess is almost already wrapping around.

Thanks for the feedback :) Yeah, I have very thin wrists so not only the watch face, but also the band, of the 42 might push me into "looks too big" territory

finally, it just arrived. its not the one i wanted to keep but i am actually digging the white. not sure i will return it to wait on my space grey now

i am not sure why, as i have tiny wrists at least thats what i thought but i need the last hole :-o 2nd to last is a bit too tight already or maybe i am just not used to it

38MM is aesthetically great/pleasing to us onlookers and looks perfect for you, bushido.

Beautiful.

Milanese loop on a sport watch?

Does anyone have a milanese loop on a sport watch?

It was a popular option in threads, although Apple didn't recommend the match.

Hold on, you ordered online on Sunday and you've had it delivered already??

Yup, my 4/10 hour one SGS preorder never moved, so following advice from this forum, I cancelled and ordered a SS WSB on Sunday which arrived in 72 hours. Not sure if it's still true, but quite a few of us in Canada and Australia did this successfully.

And since this is the Show Me thread, here's a pic - finally moved my watch over to the right and flipped it. I'm a righty but like my dad did before me, prefer wearing a watch on this side. Works great with the reverse crown.
