Exactly how I feel. If the band was slightly wider I could live with it.

----------

Only thing I worry about is if I go with a sports band. And have to wait till the end of the month to find out what it's like. And it still doesn't work for me. I am stuck with the watch.

----------

I hope so. Course I have a 42mm with a ship date of May 14-20. So I am hoping I can compare it asap. May have to make another trip to the Apple Store for another try on session. So I can compare both in person.

Haha. I see you finally caved in and got the quick shipping 38mm. I'm glad you didn't cancel your other order.

I had the 38 Sport on launch - returned it for a 38 SS ML (see above - previous page for pics, got it from Apple in less than 2 weeks!)

Here is how the sport band looks - I LOVE the sport band - has a really cool texture/feel. I ordered a White band, for whenever - should be here this month.

If that's how the sports band look. It does look better than my classic buckle. The width is what I am most concerned with as far as the band. Want it to look wider than what I have now.

Ha yeah. When I did my try on session I never bothered to try on a 38mm. So when I put mine on today, it was quite the surprise on how it looked on me lol.

Since the classic band, costs the same as a ML, have you considered a band exchange?

The ML is narrow, but looks amazing!

Super classy.

This 38 or 42 thing is enough to drive you to drink. I used The Apple Store app to print out the actual sizes. Then I found a ruler online to confirm the printouts. Then I cut out both images and placed them on my 172 wrist. The 38 looked ok, but the 42 wasn't overbearing so I ordered it. I think the thing that throws off the looks is the way the band extends from the sides making it look too big on some people. However, the little bit of extra screen size might make it easier to operate - especially if you have thick fingers. I haven't seen much comment about actually using the watch as opposed to just the looks. Is it as responsive as an iPhone ?

Finally got my black band today. 38mm Sport here.

Looks great to me. And you've made me glad that I've ordered a black sport band for my SS with classic buckle. I've realized that I like the size of the 38mm on my wrist but the classic buckle looks to slim where the band meets the watch, to me. The black sport band will look better, again, to me. Thanks for the pic. Looks great on you.

I think this is the central issue with some of the 38mm bands for me as well: they're just too skinny, particularly the Milanese Loop and Classic Buckle. Not only would wider bands make the 38mm aesthetically more pleasing, but also give it so much more of a substantive look and feel.

So from the first photo ou find the 42mm better?

I only have this photo, but it shows a bit more distance and "body":

At my try-on, these exact watches in particular stood out in being so dramatically differentiated by the band width. For me, the 38mm's appeal was diminished almost wholly due to its thinner band, even on my girlfriend who has 150mm wrists.

The 38mm with the 42mm band—particularly the Milanese Loop—and you'd be in business. But as it stands, the 42mm by a wide margin.

Watch arrived Tuesday, but just got back into town late last night. Luckily UPS was still holding my shipment vs returning it back to Apple. Gotta say, I got A LOT more use out of it then I had expected. Especially the messages app. Never realized how many quick one response messages I usually send and being able to do so without digging into my pocket all the time to respond is worth the buy in cost alone. The activity app is also a nice feature. Was able to get all my goals the with having the watch only for 12 hours, and I also still have 43% battery. All in all, this thing has exceeded all my expectations. So much so I ordered the leather band for it.

The only gotcha I have right now is that I'm kinda torn between the L/M and M/S bands. I used the M/S band all day (into the third largest hole for a pretty tight fit). The other option is to use the L/M band, but I'd have to put it into the 2nd smallest hole for a tight fit). Hopefully the medium leather band I ordered fits well otherwise I'll have to return it and wait for a large.

Tbh I thought the watch was not all that but now that I owned it for 4 days I think I'm kinda addicted to it :D

Been wearing my 42 ss bsb for 12 days now. Don't know how I've lived without it till now. Love it. I wear it from 6am to 11pm every day with more than 40% battery left each night I put it on charge.

Best Thing since Sliced Apples

Same here . . . like I don't know what I did before I got my first iPhone many years ago. I usually wear a watch but this thing blows, what ever I've worn before, out of the water! I find it indispensable now. I got my 38 mm Sport Gray with black band this Monday (5/4) and have been wearing it every day since. So far, the battery gauge only shows 50% before I charge it at night. Today, I used Apple's fitness app, for the first time, on my morning hike. I have other apps, like Runtastic and Strava, that I used on my iPhone which I will check out later. But, I was really impressed with Apple's fitness app. I got all of the information I needed, right on my wrist! This was absolutely the best choice (model and size) for me. I couldn't be happier with my Apple Watch and now, I can say, that it was totally worth the wait

42 SS with Mil loop. Ordered 8.04am UK. Had 12th - 26th May ship window, received on 8th.

Just tried the stone on again, I want to like it as it's a bit different; but prefer the contrast of the white sport or black loop...

I think we're going to be ok with the sport band on our 38's!

Finally got my black band today. 38mm Sport here.
