That’s good to hear. To me it seemed like the documentation was wrong because the graphics card page also says that the unreleased W5700X, which is less powerful than Pro Vega II, is able to support three 6K monitors. That didn’t make sense. When I reached out to Apple to ask, no one was able to answer since the Mac Pro is so new.

W5700X can support 3 Pro Display XDRs because it supports DSC. I’m not sure why Vega II didn’t support that ?

That’s not a mistake but due to the fact that the W5700X has Display stream compression or however it’s called, enabling it to send more data through the same cable. That’s also the reason why the XDRs USB ports work as USB3 on the new MacBook Pros and will do so on the W5700X while on the Vega II they fall back to USB 2 because the bandwidth is being used up by the image signal. Pretty frustrating.

That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation!

How’s the feeling of having an LG next to an XDR? Does it feel very inferior next to the beast? Do you plan to upgrade to two XDRs eventually?
I know myself, I’m probably not gonna be able to stand the look of one dell next to the XDR very long.

hell it even goes so far I’m considering skipping the one XDR and canceling my order until I can afford two of them... hm

For whom do you create audio content?

Ha good eye ? That 5,1 is a design masterpiece and looks so good out there on its own as an emailer ! Music and audio for lots of fun projects.

One day I'll live somewhere where I am actually sure I'll be staying long enough to do cable management. Last (current) place I wasn't sure I'd be a year. Now it's four years on and I've just got a rat's nest back there... oops.

Thanks for sharing the pics, folks.

I think that the OP wants to see pics of 7,1 Mac Pro setups . .but. . you do have a nice setup indeed.
