Ya'all understand that these clean desks are signs of insanity, right? ;-)
Normally it looks like a tornado hit, but I had to clean it to get everything set up. Give me a week.

Why do you have the Mac Pro on the desktop, rather than under the desk to reduce the noise? Or is it like wearing short-sleaved shirts so that everyone can see your Rolex? As a mere mortal, here is my home office setup:
12 core, 96 GB, 1TB SSD, J2i with 2 8TB spinners
38 Dell Ultrawide

I'm a bottom.It's called a deskTOP, not a deskbottom...
Pffft lame no recording booth behind acoustic windows ?
Apple wants you to see it, obviously. Many people don't want to see it (or hear it), and put it under the desk.Hell even Apple put the thing ON the desk in the store. Besides - do you see any space underneath his desk?

Would you want to show off your Rolex as well?If I owned one I would want ”to see it” as well.
I see you had some loose change after purchasing the 7.1
Do you like it on top or on bottom? It's a good question actually. At the moment, I've got some iMacs that have peripherals plunged into the USB ports on the back of the monitor ~ for data transfers. From what I can tell, the XDR doesn't allow this for it's USB ports. Therefore, I may end up sliding it on top as I still need those handy and stable. I'm sure there are some double entendres in there - but not intentionalWhy do you have the Mac Pro on the desktop, rather than under the desk to reduce the noise? As I mentioned it is my home office, so no one else will see it. The reasons are it makes the ports more accessible for plugging stuff in, I have plenty of room on my desk, there is no noticeable noise, and my dog likes it under the desk. Why do you have the Mac Pro on the desktop, rather than under the desk to reduce the noise? That thing is inside his house. You know, I would like to see it next to my monitor if I have one. It looks really nice. Nobody total strangers are going to come his house and looking at his Rolex.Would you want to show off your Rolex as well?

Which saves you the trouble of having to vacuum in that area Labs are awesome dogsAs per my first post in this thread: mine's on my desk as well. There's no noise coming from it, I have enough room on the desk for it, and my two Labradors like to curl up under my desk when I'm working. Anyone familiar with Labs knows what they do 24/7/365: shed. Constantly. That means there's always fur in the carpet under my desk in between visits with the vacuum. And that fur will get snorfled up by the Mac or any other computer on the floor. No. Thanks!
