Well it is the show off thread. I've been a member for years and it is the first time I've showed off that room. I must say, it's so amazing to be in there. Complete sound proofing, only your heart making noise in the room - especially now the 7,1 is in there in place of the old 5,1!

In defence of Apple, It has launched me into the 21st century in terms of workflow. In the few weeks we've had it we've done so much, so easily and to be frank - perfectly. Midi, Madi, USB, PCIe all flawless here. Machine is silent, Stock blades are lightning fast, 100+ tracks, 100+ huge Kontakt Libraries, 100+ heavy CPU intensive effects - no problems. Apple's won my heart back.

I agree.

I switched to Cubase on Windows a few years ago out of frustration with Apple's hardware offerings. I ordered the nMP knowing it was more likely I'd return it than keep it.

But I'm a convert. This thing isn't going back. Totally flawless with everything I've thrown at it.

I use mine for my business; I sell some objects online where the accuracy of the color representations is absolutely crucial, and I'm editing hundreds of photos in a day. The combination of the Mac Pro 7,1 and the big ProDisplay are perfect for my workflow.

No XDRs here (and no intentions of getting one), but: geek stuff. A little amateur-hour video editing, but mostly I'm a geek and like a modular Mac Pro given the OS that runs on it.

Pretty much identical to the LG 5K. It's just the way Lightroom is on high-dpi screens. Annoying....but I've now tried several competitors and quite frankly they're ALL bad on these screens, and some much worse than Lightroom.

Looks like it was shipped fro China to Japan. Box was in perfect condition.

In the aesthetic department MBP 6.1 outperforms 7.1. It is looks like 6.1 is something from the future, whereas 7.1 is an old device.

Nice to see that I'm not the only person to keep my 6,1 UNDER the desk.?
