Also I just bought another iPhone 12 Pro Max recently and what would you think - the damn issue is there too! So definitely has to do something with iOS 14 and most probably my own Apple ID.

May I suggest that you change iPhone location and try if that fixes it before resetting to factory settings.

Omg! This is definitely linked to Apple ID.

I was doing a complete full reset and restore with the iTunes/computer by advice of an Apple senior engineer. Can’t get more full than that. But it didn’t help.

i am suspecting that the issue is somehow connected to the Apple ID. I am now trying to run a phone with Apple ID signed off and it seems to work fine now. Of course I can’t use it without Apple ID fully, but I’m trying just to narrow down the issue.
Hmm my perspective on that is that the bug lurking somewhere in the system so that’s why full restore is not an option since I run into the same bug after factory reset and full restore too. The only difference was I used iMazing backup for that.
However before full restore I used my iPhone briefly and there wasn’t any bug presented at the time. So that’s why I want to try factory reset with step by step data restore. Although to tell the truth past several days Siri suggestions surprising enough were working as it should.

Just of curiosity - have you installed the beta profiles on your iOS in the past?

To me it all started with the beta. Could have been without it too but I’d never know now.
But what I also know is that now the bug is present on the two brand new iPhones which obviously never touched the beta profiles. So go figure what causes what now ?

Nah, not even once. Btw funny enough the moment I wrote the previous post I’ve went and checked the phone and the bug was there ?
Updated to 14.5 just now. We’ll see how it goes there. Nonetheless I’ll still plan to factory reset later ?

Still having the same issue with my 12 Pro. Using iOS 15 RC.
Well, it’s sad. Have you reported through feedback app? My report response says the potential fix is in iOS 15. But so it did earlier for 14.5… ?

Nope! Not anymore. Tried it several times and the issue is gone!
Fingers crossed for the 25th, I will check it in official release. I’ve been working closely with apple senior support through the past month and they said devs will REALLY try to fix it with the next updates. Probably that’s the one!
