These pixels are individually lit, so its very easy to light edge pixels differently.
 
Actually that exactly what Samsung has done you can adjust the edge hues... Read up before jumping to conclusions, it's 100% possible to tweak parts of the display via software.

We’re not taking about being able to ‘adjust the edge hues’ - people are saying the update has magically fixed the issue with no user input.

I’m jumping to the conclusion that that’s absurd.
 
So... I'm on my 3rd iPhone and I have this issue......
Screen is fine looking straight on, but a slight tilt would change the hue on the right hand side to pink.
How common are 'perfect' screens? I don't want to keep playing the lottery game, and risk getting an even worse screen here....

Not common

I went through a handful of units,and all but two exhibited weird pink tint issues
