Where are all the pics in this thread???

http://imgur.com/a/aMtqP

Before someone with microscopic eyes says something... the little spots you see in the first picture are specks of dust. I took it out of my pocket to show it as it is, rather than giving it a full cleaning job before taking some snaps. I don't think that gives an honest representation of what this phone is like in real life. So yeah, this is about as dirty as it gets in a day. Not bad, eh?

But anyway. There's two shots of a JB 7+ just after a full day at work, that has been caseless since Sep 20. Make of them what you will. :)

The moment I opened mine I put it in in a tech 21 case and slapped a zagg glass shield on the screen...

So it's holding up pretty well. It gets a little greasy on the back even with the case on it so I wipe it down every couple days

Now going on 2 weeks with my jet black plus doing my normal living in Manhattan, in and out of my jeans, pants, white coat at work, scrub pants, set down on tops of work computers and various surfaces at home, used while standing holding a pole on the subway, out to dinner, etc. not babying it, no case or screen protector, and it looks flawless still, no scratches, just some fine lines which show again with certain angles of light. Fingerprints wipe off in and out of my pants or with a quick wipe with my shirt, pants, or microfiber cloths. And the little scratches, I could care less about with IUP. It feels awesome in the hand and has been such a nice change to the tactile and the aesthetic sensibilities.

I got my phone last Saturday. Kept the original plastic on it until my glossy skin from BestSkinsEver got here. I finally put it on yesterday and I'm impressed. This pic was this morning with less than 24 hours of cure time. Supposed to be fully cured after 48. Phone is really grippy and still allows the jet black gloss to shine through.
do I need to buy any liquid or anything other than the skin?

Looks like some peoples' jet blacks have been made better than others...some people get scratches from wiping with their shirt or changing cases, others don't. Interesting. I'll wait for next year's phone when jet black has less of these issues and Apple has the time to manufacture it properly :)

my sister received hers 3 days ago and it has no finger prints or scratches, if you are unhygienic and don't wash your hands like many of you on this forum complaining about it being a finger print magnet its going to get smudged up, if you are hygienic and wash your hands it will be fine, also it only scratches when you slide it across tables or slide it in and out of your pocket all day long, no excuse for people saying it scratches easy because it doesn't if you look after it.

Yeah, honestly I LOVE all the colours, but the JB is perfect for me because I never actually enjoyed holding the 6+ I had. That finish was, for me, too slippy and cold when caseless, and too bulky and uncomfortable when in a case. There's a real warmth and ergonomic brilliance to the JB 7+ that makes it worth the upgrade alone.

Just my opinion, not shooting down anyone else'a so don't think that. All the colours look great. But the JB *feels* amazing, to me.

Based on what I have read so far, the Apple Leather case is most likely not to scratch the phone due to the microfiber lining and relatively tight fit.

Also has anybody applied a skin like Ghost Armour and used a case on top of that?

Is the Jet black finish as susceptible to scratches as the glass back on the S7E or Note 7?

I can see micro scratches under specific lighting conditions. Don't know how they happened, but whatever. It's a phone, not a precious family heirloom.

In fact, the large metal zipper on one of my jackets accidentally hit the screen while I was walking and left a faint scratch. Stuff happens.

A week old, just a small scuff on the top antennae band from when my coworker hid it on a dusty monitor and slid it across. Other than that, nothing visible unless in certain light.
