I did not test the Beta version of iOS9.

but to me, iOS9 is much smoother than iOS8.whatever
I'd say things scroll a lot quicker and no lag that i can see. this is on an iPhone 6 64gb halfway full

some glitches in App Notifications.

the more i use my ipad air 2, the worse it seems... also, keyboard is laggy, when i tipe fast as i did before, sometimes it misses the letters. i have to correct sentences very often, also when i'm writing this message.

in addition, switching between the apps with the multigesture is VERY slower than before.
i'm so disappointed...

Yep, theres definitely an extra second or two when swiping between apps and it used to be instant in iOS 8 and iPad Air 2. I think the keyboard problems stem from the two finger trackpad feature. It might be detecting when you almost have two fingers at the same time on the keyboard. I noticed if it I type a tad slower there are fewer issues.

Mine too. Not very happy about it. Mine's not indexing, in fact I have all spotlight functions disabled, reduce motion enable, reduce transparency turned on. Nothing but lag everywhere. Definitely not better than 8.x.x final.
Have you tried connecting to the iTunes? I was about to do the restore and once it was plugged in and showed up on iTunes lag disappeared.

Thank you for your feedback! I will load it up and report back later.

I'll probably bounce back to 9.1 beta 2 (probably coming next week) but for now 9.0 release seems to be the best of the two.

On my 5S , control center animation is about 15-20 FPS and stutters. How does no one notice this stuff?!?!?!

I'd like to see a video of your 5s 15-20 fps on the the CC window.

On the other hand, 5 has butter smooth control center animation. Only complain is the app switcher stutters like nowhere else. Even worse so on the iPad Mini.

iOS 9.0 is laggy as!

I'm running it on my iPhone 6 and when iOS 8.4.1 was quite smooth in animations (like Spotlight or when you choose an app in the app swither), iOS 9 lags as hell!
Apple, fix it with 9.1!

I have no idea how that could help, but I'll give it a try. I just finished downloading 8.4.1 to reflash. I'll try the iTunes suggestion 1st.

Definitely seeing animation start delay and some stuttering in animations. Not too worried as my 6S+ will replace the 6 soon.

Ipad AIR and iPhone 6 plus, running great.
As usual Polar Beat is giving me problems and crashes when trying to connect to heart monitor.
Used Polar sensors for years, but they are really pushing me to an Apple Watch to keep track of my workout program!!!

Is anyone else seeing major lock ups and lag with the Mail app? As soon as I go into it, it just sits there, thinking....finally after 5-8 seconds I can start scrolling and using it. I have the 6 Plus...brother has the 6 and it's fine.

No lag problems here. Noticeable speed improvements on my 5S. iPad Air 2 feels about the same but liking the new features.

iPhone 6S Plus 64 @iOS9 became slow as ****! Especially switching and closing applications mode.
iPad 2 mini @iOS9 restarts if you try to type "Netflix" in Spotlight search, after first 3 letters

iPhone 5S here and I have nothing to complain about. Can't talk about the battery yet, but everything seems fine, photos app and multitasking are flying.

You've got a 6S Plus already?

Here's the thing, people really, REALLY need to stop saying that they are not experiencing lag. It's either you are and you don't mind/are lying about it, or you don't notice. It is unquestionable that iOS 9 is lagging on these devices and frankly it is inexcusable, especially on one year old iPhones and iPads. I love Apple and my iPhone, and wouldn't consider switching to any other platform. Having said that, Apple's quality control has been slipping FAST since iOS 7, and if we have people saying that it's fine when it isn't, Apple won't listen and nothing will change.
