I agree that the solo loop does lack a certain gravitas, but it’s very practical and comfortable. It’s also a lot more secure for active sports.

My stainless link really does not go well with my graphite stainless 44, to my eye. But it feels pointless to go back to the Sport band after a week with the Solo Loop.

Best bands by far. So simple and obvious, but nice.
I have broken more Apple Watches than iPhones. And in all instances it was the bands/clasps (third party) that failed, sending the watch falling into concrete floors. Besides these bands being nicer, they should also save customers on repairs.

when I tried the guide, I was at 9.
Went to the apple store to buy #9... but apple store employee recommended trying #8... #8 was a perfect fit for me.
The braided loop is the best band I've owned so far. I will surely buy some silicone loop in the future!

I just got my black Solo Loop today (FedEx Sunday!). It fits perfectly! I will love it even more when it loosens up a tad because I wear my watchbands looser. I measured 6 1/2 inches with a cloth tape measure and 6 1/4 inches with it pulled tight. The Apple Tool I printed out had me right at 6 on the tool. I ordered a 6 and it is great! It looks nice with my Red watch. When the Product Red Loops are finally available to order I’m not sure if I should go down to a 5 in the Red Solo Braided Loop or stick with the perfectly fitting Solo Loop size 6??? Any advice?
Why do you think it will loosen up?

Awesome band, I forget that it's there. I had an S4 and the S6 with the solo band feels like less weight and less bulky. Very impressed by the band, I wasn't sure about it and figured what the heck. Measured as a size 11 with the Apple guide and it fit perfect.

I ordered a size 9 black SL for my 40MM at launch using the initial sizing guide. It came and was comically too big. Went to my Apple Store expecting to exchange for a 7 or 8. They had a sizing guide that came up with size 6. Tried a 6, then 5, then 4, then 3. Left with a 3. After wearing it for a while now I suspect I went a size too small. I like it tight but this may be too tight for my own good.

Curious: is there anyone who likes the solo loop but does not like the sport band? I like the look of the sport band but find it uncomfortable. How does the solo loop feel in comparison?

Really OCD question but when you attach the Solo Loop, which end do you put on the top connector? The end that says 40/44mm or the end that has the size (i.e. 5)?

On other bands (e.g. Sport Loop) the size text goes at the top. This way it lines up with the text on the back of the watch itself (see photo). I’d do the same with a Solo Loop if I had one!

I certainly “appreciate” the Solo Loop, though I don’t have one yet. I went through the same sizing drama as others, getting one measurement when using a measuring tape, and another using Apple’s printable tool. Went to the Apple Store (mine is open for appointment shopping only) and found out I’m a 7. Trying them on, I was impressed with the stretch and softness. I’ll be adding one to my collection soon.

I must admit I was sceptical of the new solo loop when it was first unveiled - It seemed flimsy and plasticky and the sizing hiccups at the start put me off a bit.

But after spending two days with the solo loop, I’ve been converted and must say it’s the most comfortable band that I’ve used, even more so than the sport loop which I’ve been wearing almost exclusively for the last 2 or 3 years.

You can barely feel the watch or loop being there and I’ve gotten used to the feeling of it.

And the Cyprus green is such an amazing colour! I’m thinking of getting the deep navy or black one as well.

Any lovers of the solo loop here too?

Some pics of the gorgeous cyprus green in the sun.

Im a delicate guy with sensitive skin (med). Ah ha ha ....lol
I agree, the solo loop is very comfortable, 3 days in , snug fit, indentation from the band and watch but no bruises from the sensor dome! It shines when I am working out and I am swinging my arms or flexing a dumbbell. It bugs me if I think about but the sensation disappears. Waiting for the braid version.

Very OCD of you indeed!
I put the “size” indicator side down - both text orientation then will be right side up with the watch. 😂😂✌️

Just got mine yesterday (black solo loop). I didn't really have any complaints with comfort of the sport bands, but this really is nice. One particular side bonus: the metal nub on the sport band would always clack/scratch against the palm rest of my laptop. Not anymore!

This should be on the front page. I totally forgot about that since i switched to a desktop, but yes, you are 100% correct!

I big bonus to notebook owners.

I sized up at the Apple Store - my measurement was a 2.5 but I tried a 3 for sizing (this was before the advisory to size down).

For those users with Size 3 or less, did you have difficulties looping the watch in your wrist? I was quite cautious not to snap the bands, it but it was a very difficult task to wear the watch.

Try this, when putting on:
1. (check orientation) -> hold the watch in the palm and close the fingers over it
2. Pull the loop as far up your knuckles as you can comfortably
3. Grab the watch with your other hand (obviously😆, and slide your thumb underneath and in that same motion slide the watch to the wrist
4 slide the watch around and adjust it the way you like

Reverse the process to take it off.
