Curious: is there anyone who likes the solo loop but does not like the sport band? I like the look of the sport band but find it uncomfortable. How does the solo loop feel in comparison?
I don’t really like the sports band. I think it is unnecessarily bulky and not comfortable, especially for long periods of time. The Solo and Braided bands are much more comfortable and a lot easier to put on.

Interesting. Before the Solo Loop, I found the Sport Band the most comfortable. I like the Sport Loop too but it doesn't lay flat enough on the loop and so it seems to need constant adjustments during the day. If you get a correctly sized Solo Loop, it is the most adjustment free band that I've used for the Apple Watch. It essentially disappears and you forget about it.

Just got my Cypress Green Solo Loop yesterday via mail order. I had the chance to try on several sizes at an Apple Store so I knew that my ordered size was correct.

It is easily the most comfortable band that I’ve owned. Very light with my Titanium watch. I might cancel my backordered Solo Braided Loop. I can’t see how it could be better.
I had no idea the braided loop was the reason why my order wasn't supposed to come until mid November. I just called and cancelled it, and ordered the same watch with the solo loop... its now arriving two weeks earlier!

These bands always make the watch seem cheap for some reason I have the link stainless steel one
I mean you're comparing these bands vs one that is $350+. It's no wonder you think these bands cheapen the watch.
I don't necessarily think a metal bracelet helps that. Watch bands are made in all sorts of styles, and putting a metal link bracelet on a smartwatch has always looked a little silly to me. It just gives off Casio calculator watch vibes to me. Pairs nicely with a short-sleeved shirt with tie. I normally lean toward leather, fabric, or rubbery bands, though.

I guess Apple has given up on the idea of Qi charging for the Apple Watch... as a Sport Band can't lie flat.

Also... surely, there can now be no chance that Apple will ever resurrect AirPower.

I have been stretching the Solo Loop a LOT since I got it and it HAS loosened up. Now it is comfortable and I am keeping it. Since the 6 feels too snug on me until I stretch it, I hope that a 6 in the braided loop will be just right.
I measured at 9-10, ordered an 8 and it felt almost right when it arrived, but since then it's stretched a lot. Asked Apple to send me a 7 instead. This has not been a fun experience.

I don't think solo bands are meant to be used very tightly on your wrist...
I'm under the impression if it's very tight and your wear it all the time, it will stretch a lot.

MobileReviewEh on YouTube tested the band with 100lb weight... solo bands do stretch a lot... but after 24h hours, it's back to the original length.

On other bands (e.g. Sport Loop) the size text goes at the top. This way it lines up with the text on the back of the watch itself (see photo). I’d do the same with a Solo Loop if I had one!
I'm going to unnecessarily complicate things but now the size text and number text are upside down (not sure why Apple did it this way). So if you put the text size on top, the 44mm is upside down. But if you put the band size on top, the band size is upside down. Haha!

I just went to the Apple store today and returned my solo loop.

I had read all the reviews saying how comfortable it was and was so excited when I found one in my size at an Apple store nearby. The sizing was correct too (bought a size 4, and had also tried on sizes 3/5 in store).

Unfortunately I found it really uncomfortable in real life. For some reason my skin did not like the feel of the solo loop (not an allergy though) and I was constantly aware that it was on my wrist. After a couple of days I found myself switching back to the sports band for comfort - and this was the point where I figured the solo loop wasn't for me.

Back to the sports bands for me (also trying out the sports loop which so far feels way more comfortable than I found the solo loop to be)...

I just got my Deep Navy Solo Loop, and it's fantastic! I typed with it for a few hours and it felt less noticeable than the Sport Band.

I was in between sizes with the measuring tool, even when I tried to tighten it a bit, and I went with 7 instead of 8. My sizing approach seems to have worked. I'm able to easily put it on and off, but it stays in place when I shake my arm. I was wondering if I should still try the size 6, but probably not since I'm already seeing an indentation after a few hours of wearing it. I'm surprised by the indentation because it did not feel too tight at all.

Kind of bummed.

Went to my  store today and got the solo loop in the size and color I wanted but when I got home I already noticed a defect with the band

Don’t know if it comes through that well in the photo but on the edge of the band it’s got a discoloration or something.

That is definitely a defect.

Yeah and I don’t know if I want to try another. I actually didn’t like slipping it on and off. Will probably just stick to my trusted sport loop and band.

Want to check out the leather link.

Everybody has their own requirements, etc. I just return my size 4 for a 5. The 4 was snug, like you, i feel it all the time and it leaves mark - like wrapping a rubber band on my arm. So far the size 5 seems way better, for me , the watch sit more flat on my wrist, with the sport band, the watch will at time dig into my wrist bone - it tend to shift toward it. Now i feel the watch way more than the band. Note, the size 5, it just fit with actually pulling tight to any degree. I think that is the proper fitting criteria .... maybe.

I'm not a fan. It reminds me of the cheap elastic bands of my childhood mikey mouse watch. I know, "....twice a child.." but I'm not in a rush to join the elastic watch band, velcro shoe-wearing village elders lol

It reminds me of a stick of chewing gum. Got the ginger yellow Size 4. It was hot and left marks. Changed it to a size 5 and it’s day and night. Marks are still there and still wet under the band but, it is like discovering stretchy Jean. If it fit you don’t want to go back. I am getting the braid. Should be even more comfortable.

I measured 6 4/16 inches. So, we are very close in size.

That’s the exact size my wrist is. The size 6 braided loop seemed loose for me and slightly moved when I shook my arm. Now I’m in the dreaded exchange phase, and to say politely it’s been a nightmare. I’m getting a 5 sent to me and looks like not until December smh. I’m not happy...

I bought a Green solo loop, I may be back in the game but i'd never choose one over a regular sport band. But it's nice to have the one.

I wish they were $39.99

Size 5 may be a little loose as well. Hopefully, it will be snug enough for you. I like my bands snug.

Oh man, I felt like the 6 was almost doable for me, if i had to keep it I could but figured it may loosen over time so I thought go with the 5. Did you try the 6, 5 and 4? If so how much of a difference was there between the 6 and 5?
