Anyone worn the same solo loop since launch day almost 4 weeks ago? Still getting longer or does it stop expanding after 2-3 weeks?

I’m right between a 5 and 6 on the printout tooo

and this 9to5 article got me towards a 6 since I use the second outer most hole of the smaller sport band. I think 6 is the smart bet to try first since any tighter than 2nd hole furthest out on regular sport band is too tight for my wrist

we’ll see!

Yeah I’ve seen that it’s finally available! Will see if they have some local stock first though.

May be a good idea to order one online in case since the eta is still good, then cancel if store has it. Depends on how bad you want it lol. Probably hot item right now! Crazy how the others are all back ordered till like December. Was the red never for sale during release? I never looked, I had just ordered the Inverness green release day.

late to the solo loop party but my initials impressions are:

very impressed! feels lighter, stretchier, airy-er (?) than the regular sport

seems to fit really well and this color is fantastic ! its just my taste

Glad I went a 6 instead of maybe a 5 since I was right in between according to the cut out and Apple says to go smaller, but a hard 6 being I used the second outermost hole on the small sport band in the past

It’s going to get a bit longer with wear, so you may need to exchange for a 5.

nah I think 6 still will be perfect to be honest but I appreciate the concern

I just did the cut out measurement again too and it ever so slightly tips over 6 not in the middle as it was before so probalby depends how tightly I’m measuring it or wrapping it around. To be fair I did it while still sleepy from slamming in my preorder this morning haha

I trust I made the right choice

I think 5 would cut off my circulation 6 is still pretty snug without discomfort

unfortunately I think I am getting a rash from the solo loop. I ordered size 4 (I have small man wrists) and depending on how warm I am, it either felt completely fine or slightly tight. With a bit more use it must have stretched slightly as size wise it now feels bang on most of the time, but slightly loose if I am cold.

the problem is though that I have a bit of an itch/rash on the inside of my wrist which I feel is coming from the lack of breathability of the band. With the old sport band I occasionally got similar in summer but nowhere near as bad as this. The design of the sport band meant it sat a bit further away from much of my wrist but the solo look sits very much on my wrist all the way round. It probably doesn't help that I am now using my watch for sleep tracking so wearing it most of the time. If I switch to a sport loop the rash goes away. I wonder if the braided solo loop allows more air to the wrist?

Same here - I know a few people who've had to return the bands. Skin really doesn't breath under that plastic loop.

Solo loop makes my wrist sweat a bit similar to sport band, maybe less as it loosened a bit with wear.
Braided solo loop should be breathable for sure. I’m waiting to see if they fix the issues with side gap and metal connector showing, before buying.

Size 5 may be a little loose as well. Hopefully, it will be snug enough for you. I like my bands snug.
My replacement for the 6 finally got here. The 5 is pretty damn good, a tad snug but hopefully it loosens up a tiny bit over time. But I have to say I love it, makes you kinda forget you have a watch on. Can’t wait for the product red braided to get here!

That looks good. It will stretch out pretty quickly.

I have found that the band starts to itch a little after wearing it for long periods of time.

Thanks, I have to say it’s my favorite band so far, I’m also a sucker for that color lol. It feels so much better on the wrist now compared to the 6 and I’m really impressed with apples turnaround. The shipping showed it coming directly from China. I wear my watch during bed time so I guess I’ll see in regards to itching. I only take it off at night to do dishes and when I shower.

Well after a huge "fail" with measuring and getting proper Solo Loops at launch (I measured a 6, she measured a 5...) both HUGE, so we ended up using the new Apple techniques / this forum suggestions / John Gruber's chart to match to Sports Band hole position to order correct sizes of 4 for me, 3 for her. Finally nearly a month later we have our replacement bands and they are flawless and fit so, so well. We wear Sports Bands 95% of the time and this is a much more comfortable, slick looking band so assuming they don't radically stretch so much I have to replace them to fit or super easily get dirty without being able to clean them I can't imagine I would buy anything else going forward. I hope Apple doesn't get spooked by the difficult roll out because obviously once people know their size they know their size so it makes it easy to order more moving forward...

Questions...

1. For those of you who has comfortable but snug Solo Loops since launch... have they stretched? If so have they stretched so much they don't stay in place anymore? I don't like to be pinched but I absolutely don't want watch movement including during running.

2. Since these bands are silicone and not flurolastemer like the Sports Bands, does anyone see a difference in terms of getting dirty or cleaning them? I have white and light colored Sports Bands that simply NEVER get dirty it seems which I found amazing as back in my Fitbit days with silicone bands the white got dirty so so fast. My new solo loop is a white one so I'm wondering how it will perform in terms of staying white vs. my white sports bands.

3. Because of how nice this is I'm contemplating order a black braided solo loop in the same size (I wear a 4, the smallest 44mm so I have no choice) but I have heard a few complaints it looses even more than the normal solo loop and frays pretty quickly... anyone with input on that?

Thanks! If you find the right size I fully agree this is the most comfortable band bar none I have ever had in 5 years of wearing Apple Watches.

Anyone else getting a rash from there’s? It feels comfortable but sometimes makes my wrist itch.

Anyone that has both Apple solo loop and braided loop? I want to know for those who have both, do you have the same size in each? I have read braided is slightly bigger. I have two braided loops and the 5 fits me perfect. Curious if I’d take the same size for solo loop.
