Ok that sounds like I'm dreaming now. My push emails sometimes arrive as quickly as within a minute! I updated Sparrow, then updated Sparrow+, respring, start Sparrow once, then go on with my normal days. Never had to make sure what is running or not. The only thing is the Sparrow notification sound is very low, so most of the time I missed the notification. But you see it in NC no problem.
Yeah, the sound is set by Sparrow. I asked them on twitter about being able to adjust the sound but they said its not possible now. I'm hoping they offer it when they set up Server Side Push.
edit: The dev of Sparrow Push will be putting out an update soon. As far as i know it wont have default mailsheets but i guess we'll find out when he updates the tweak.

Keep us updated los318 if Sparrow Push (when updated) outperforms Sparrow+ as it relates to email "pushing."
I really don't care about default client tweak with Sparrow (nice to have but not a "deal breaker") - but "Push" is really important. Sill can't decide which app is better (Sparrow Push or Sparrow+) OR if both are identical.
no matter what i try, i can not get sparrow to show up in the notification center. i've uninstalled/reinstalled sparrow, uninstalled/reinstalled sparrow +...nothing gets it in the notification center for me. gave up about a day after my last post in here, tried again today...made sure everything was uninstalled, reinstalled sparrow from app store, then installed sparrow +(which automatically installs sparrow push with it) and still not showing up in my notification center. I can hear the ding but its so faint its not worth it.
Try this:
1. Enable the normal Mail app in NC settings.
2. Respring
3. Open Sparrow
4. Then go back to the NC settings and check to see if it is there already enabled.
Mine didn't show up at first and I'm 99.9% sure that's all I did and it magically appeared.

I have the same problem. I've tried everything that's been posted with no luck still can't get sparrow to show up in the notification center.
New Sparrow+ works fine here. Also to change the notification sound is pretty simple.
Disk Aid plug in your phone navigate to var/mobile/applications find sparrow then under the sparrow.app folder you will see nemail9.aif <- this is the notification sound. Create a new sound make it an aif and replace it.
Reboot and your new sound is there.

The lack of Sparrow support from LockInfo is driving me crazy!
Does anyone have any info regarding this matter?
There's support/plug-in for less important apps, so I'm not sure why this is taking this damn long. Email to LockInfo dev a couple of weeks ago said no ETA yet. WTF!

How are you getting this in your notification center? I've tried countless times and it does not appear in there which essentially makes it useless because if I don't receive a notification on my lock screen I'll never open my phone to see if I have an e-mail.

A few questions to help in troubleshooting this for you:
1) Are you using the latest version of Sparrow+ (1.0.2) from the developer's own repo source (http://freemanrepo.com/repo/)???
2) In Settings > Notifications......is Sparrow ENABLED "In Notification Center???"
3) Also scroll down to the bottom and make sure the "View in Lock Screen" toggle is ON.
4) Are you using any Lock Screen Cydia app like LockInfo or IntelliScreenX.....or just the DEFAULT iPhone LS?

I was using the older version from the BigBoss repo and could not get anything except the tone to work. The latest version works perfectly with IntelliscreenX.

I just followed these directions. I installed sparrow first, then went to cydia, added this repo and installed the latest Sparrow+ directly from the repo. Once installed I opened Sparrow and there was no option for push and Sparrow was still not appearing in my notification center. I tried installing Sparrow first then sparrow+ and vice versa. What is it I'm doing wrong?
"Push" is AUTOMATICALLY enabled via the latest version of Sparrow+.
Make sure you RESPRING your iPhone and then open up the Sparrow Mail app (leave it always running in the application switcher in order for "push" service to properly work).
Also you have not answered whether or not Sparrow is ENABLED under your "Settings" > "Notifications" > In Notification Center" (do you see SPARROW listed under there?).....does your Notification Center screen for Sparrow look like this (see below)???

I finally figured out how to get my Sparrow Mail to appear on my LockInfo LS until an official plug-in/support is made available.
I just enabled Sparrow in my Notification Center and enabled the LockInfo "Notification" plug-in for the Lock Screen and all new/unread email in my Sparrow inbox can now be seen in my LS.
Not a clean/perfect solution but at least I can now see how many new emails I have in my LS.

That's just the thing, it's listed nowhere in notification center. There's nothing mentioning Sparrow anywhere in my notification center preferences. I have everything else listed under there, messages, phone, etc. The Sparrow app is nowhere to be found.
Really strange. My only other suggestion is to uninstall Sparrow+ (then respring); uninstall Sparrow (respring again). REBOOT your iPhone.....then install Sparrow first (check to see if it appears in NC)....respring and install Sparrow+ (v 1.0.2)......start Sparrow Mail app + respring once again.
IF this fails, then I would look into an app on Cydia called iCleaner. You may have some files that need to be cleaned out BEFORE doing a fresh install of Sparrow & Sparrow+.
