Got mine today from Amazon and it has the writing on the top. I'll email them tomorrow. It's beside my bed, so not a big deal...but it's tacky for sure.

I pre-ordered my 2 for (I think it was) £15 each from Spigen UK on 18/4

Received both 8/5 and both have the writing visible. One is in my bedroom and one in my home office. I emailed them and they have offered to replace both, or give me a £5 refund per stand.

That would make each stand £10, so I think I'll take the refund and keep the stands with the writing on the base.

Fair play to Spigen for being very customer-oriented in wanting to resolve this.

It's strange how we're seeing two different sides of their customer service.

For what it's worth, to keep the thread updated, I escalated my Paypal claim (on the basis that there were already several emails). They disputed the claim, but Paypal has decided in my favour, and returned the £14.99 to my account.

Sucks it had to go that far, but oh well. It's the first time I've ever had to actually open a paypal dispute :(.

For what it's worth, to keep the thread updated, I escalated my Paypal claim (on the basis that there were already several emails). They disputed the claim, but Paypal has decided in my favour, and returned the £14.99 to my account.

Sucks it had to go that far, but oh well. It's the first time I've ever had to actually open a paypal dispute :(.

It is. I copied the first post's email when I contacted them and stated "it appears Spigen is sending out replacements for the defective units". I received an email back (through Amazon) that stated they were shipping a new one and a return label. We'll see how it turns out if and when I receive the replacement.

My guess is the ones on Amazon could well be copies. Spigen ship all their products with a product serial number which they ask you to register online to prove its genuine.

They're genuine - the first batch from Spigen had the writing on the top.

I think I'll just go with the £5 discount to be honest, as it's not worth my time doing anything else.

I've changed my mind and I'm going to return it.

I've just set it up by the bed and in honesty, I think my method of laying it flat on the charger is actually far better and I've come to the conclusion that for me, the stand is a waste of money.

I've replied to Spigen's email and asked them to send me a pre paid envelope.

I'll keep you posted.

Yep, paypal didn't mention returning it, and I've not heard back from the company since. I'm more than happy to send it back to them if they send me a pre-paid label or envelope, but tbh, I guess the cost price of these is less than the postage cost so I doubt I'll hear back.

had this stand for two days now and i love it. It was inexpensive, but it's classy, and i really like the TPU, which i thought i wouldn't like.

I plan on using a small piece of white tape to join the lightning cable onto the watch charging cable to stop it slipping down the back of my bedside table.

It also will charge my iPhone 6 without removing the case.

Quite cheap too.

My Spigen stand arrived today. Ordered through Amazon, fulfilled by Spigen. The writing is on the bottom.

I love this stand and it looks even better in-person. Totally happy with it and the price is awesome!

Just to add to the positive interaction with Spigen UK:
Was given the option of £5 discount, or exchange. Decided to replace with the revised version (text under the base). Thought the stand wasn't that expensive to begin with, and in the long run I'd regret not having swapped it...
They have refunded the postage to return the original stand, and just received the revised version, much happier now!!
Overall, very good customer support!!
