Ok so I think this is the last update. According to the top person at executive relations team it is not possible to whitelist the current iPhone 7 or 7 Plus due to Apple locking the SKU numbers for each carrier. Apparently this is new to the 7 and wasn't present on the 6 which is why the 6's can be whitelisted. They gave me all my features and promos back but the phone still appears as a NON-VZW device.

Once I upgrade next year to a Verizon iPhone 7S this will all go away. So I just have to get through the next 9 months.

Thank you all for all your help.

Are you sure it's unlocked? If you bought it from a reseller i.e. Best Buy and activated it on sprint it's probably locked to sprint because of the reseller flex policy

Bought it from the Apple iPhone upgrade program so it's unlocked. According to Verizon Apple locks the SKU numbers to the carriers so an iPhone sold to be activated on Sprint through the Upgrade Program can't be whitelisted by Verizon. It works it just needs tech support help to add certain Verizon features. Once I upgrade again next year to a Verizon phone this won't be an issue.

Hello edlex,

So I have an iphone 7 plus that I have part of the iphone upgrade program and I am switching over from sprint to verizon. What is the process I should follow? Thank you

I don't think it's any trickery.

The sales rep in the store would have gotten commission for your new line of service so they would want the sale at any cost. Commission for the line is the same regardless if the phone is provided by the customer or sold out of in-house inventory.

There is no incentive for the rep to try to get you to buy one from them so I wouldn't even think that.

I also had my unlocked iPhone 6 Plus from AT&T on Verizon's network for some time before I upgraded to the 7 Plus.

I would say it's a limitation with the phone for sure.
[doublepost=1507496717][/doublepost]I work at an authorized retailer for Verizon, & commission is the same on all iPhones as apple sets the price and in all honesty I will almost always push Samsung as the payout is literally up to 8x more commission as well as being nearly 4 years ahead of the technology that iPhone has in theirs. That being said, new lines are new lines regardless of the fact that they sell a new iPhone and its still just a set commission no matter what. Recently I was able to use a sprint iPhone 7 and 7+ on verizons network for a customer. You can always check Verizon BYOD (bring your own device) as sprint has begun unlocking their phones from their network.

Which Samsung phones are four years ahead of iphone in technology?
