It sucks man, but at least we’re not seeing a 30% drop overnight like some people. Anything under 10% is manageable and not really much of an issue. Of course we need a fix, but it’s not the end of the world.
Yes, agree with you. It is only unconfortable, that I have to charge phone more often. But of course I would be more unhappy if the system crashes or something like that...

Hey Siri on
Low power mode off
Background app refresh on for some apps

Lost 1% per hour during night on Xr.

I was ill for some time and did not use Xr during the illness. (Only some sms and calls but by iPad or Watch). There was about 25% drain per 24h day.

1% per hour or total 1%? Over how many hours?
[doublepost=1543468062][/doublepost]Yesterday night

Tap to wake and hey Siri off
Everything else on

82% to 78% over 7 hrs or so. 4% drop.

Still a bit too much.

It was 1% per hour. Exactly it was 6% in 7 hours.

Was the 25% drain per 24 hrs mostly on idle?

Yes, it was with about 30 minut display on each day. (Safari; Messenger; Calendar; Notes,...) with lower brightness

Have you checked other settings than those already mentioned?

Like all those apple system location services? I have only “find my iPhone” turned on. All the rest off.

Maybe email push?
Are Notifications turned on for all apps, even for those that you don’t need?

Siri sugestions in search, look up and lock screen turned off individually for each app as well as the main toggle?

I think you should be radical and turn all those off and see what happens.

One time I had stby drain and What I did was reset all settings, reset network settings, turned all battery eating features off, hard reset the phone and check the results, in that order.

It solved the problem. Then, you can turn on one at a time if you wish and see what happens.

That's odd. Same settings and everything, the other day my 6s dropped 3% over 11 hours and today it dropped 4% over 9 hours.

97%

Puzzled about what? Drain varies from one day to another.
Yes, though not only that, but a 5c on iOS 9 (with a far more degraded battery) dropped 1% on 11 hours.
I don't know, it seemed a little too much for an original iOS version.

iOS 12 isn’t original for a X.

Tap to wake / Hey Siri / Background App Refresh - Off

Everything else - On

4% drain over 6-8 hrs.

Still seems too high for a X.

It should have been 2% max with all of the above on. What do you guys think?

Mine was about the same. Yes it is too high. I think there is currently a power management bug in iOS.

Do you have HomeKit in your house ? I have same issue on my devices and I suspect Homekit to be responsible of this ? Perhaps the mix of HomeKit + my network configuration (router, repeater)

Not sure if this could be related but I thought I'd:

Found something interesting. I normally have great battery life - at the end of a day I’d still have 72% battery left. Recently that changed and I’d have maybe 50% left. I have background App Refresh turned off and I alway had.
I have an app from my cable TV company. I rarely use it so I I leave it off - I force close it when I’m done. A couple of days ago I was looking at Battery in settings so try and figure out why battery usage had changed. The biggest battery user was this tv app and its usage was entirely background activity. When checking this application in settings I noticed that although greyed out and couldn’t be changed the background activity was “turned on” . I turned on the general background app refresh on so I could then change the specific app. I turned off the refresh for that app and then the general again. Since doing that I’ve had no background activity for that app and back to normal for me battery usage at the end of a day.
That app recently had an update - I wonder if an app has an update and its default is background updates it manages to sneak in being allowed to do that even though the general setting is off.

I have recently bought a refurbished iphone 6s , and think the battery is faulty. Ive read through all the testing you did , and want to do it for myself , what should i put the setting on before leaving my phone on standby over night?

iPhone Xs / iOS 12.3

Wifi (2,4 GHz) / Tap to wake / - On

Everything else - Off

drains about 4% over 9 hours. (78%-74%)

UPDATE:
I tested now with iOS 12.3.1
Wifi (2,4 GHz) / Tap to wake / - On
Everything else - Off
9 hours - 81%-77% ≈ 4%

Planned and programmed obsolescence resulting in future sales. They can deny it all they like" [/QUOTE]

They dont deny it, and They wont address the accusation neither. They have many on forums and communities to fiercely deny and argue for them. Sadly it seems nowadays manufacturers, like pop stars remain silent while their army (fans) fight their corner via social media. Ultimately we only have forum members version of apple's truth and mostly these communities are always on the lookout to take down anyone who may be accusing corporations of skullduggery or foul play. Why? You say..Who knows?
