But I don't understand? Don't you guys slam your clock each time that alarm goes off? I know some people do.

lol, some of you guys use 1000 dollar MacBook's as a alarm clock.

Mine is never off, aside from software update restarts. Either way SXR, it's not like I bought my MBP for the sole purpose of an alarm clock ;)

Also Aurora can wake the computer from sleep and IIRC can actually turn it on.

I also have a clock. But, my MacBooks alarm is better because I can play a specific song if I wanted to.

I'd use my remote as the alarm stopped, but I don't have anywhere to put it next to my bed. I don't have a stand 'er anything. :(

Some Emerson brand clock that probably didn't cost me more than 20 bucks. Nothing fancy, it does what I need it to do.

I'm thinking about getting one of these because this clock down there doesn't always get me out of bed.
I think I have the same GE alarm clock (pictured in your post)... it has an alarm that starts off quiet and gets louder right? (I like alarm clocks that don't try to give me a heart attack every morning). If it doesn't get you out of bed in the morning you must be a heavy sleeper; mine is loud enough that I hear it in the shower if I forget that I hit snooze instead of turning it off!

Yeah, its that one, I have it too.

(yes, i know that question wasn't directed at me. ;))

But I ditched it in favor of an iHome. I like waking up to music.

That was an awesome thread.

Here's a picture of mine I found somewhere. I'm too lazy to go take a picture myself.

I like it. You can set two different alarm times, and the sound gradually gets louder the longer you let it run. Plus the display/time is huge, which is good because I am practically blind without my glasses and can actually see what time it is without them on.
