I'm dying for a TF2 update.

Have any of the beta people talked about how well it runs compared to Windows? I have my hopes that it holds up better than Portal since it's a very CPU intensive game.

From the perspective of the beta I can say that expecting team fortress and counterstrike source is not out of the question

agreed, i wouldnt be surprised if todays release theme was Valve MP's or something like that. they both perform flawlessly!

rbarris the developer behind the mac source engine mentioned "TF2 will be awarded additional time" a few hours ago on the steam forums ;-(

Bah, TF2 would have been nice. Still... fingers cross for L4D. Though given how little we've heard about this I doubt we'll see it tonight.

Damn... kinda got my hopes up for TF2 :( theres always next week I guess.
Half Life 2 Deathmatch would keep me happy for another week.
Some ID Software games or mainstream Aspyr releases (like cod4) will make my week.

Probably a stupid question, but if I had already bought games through steam on my Windows machine, will I have to re-buy them for mac when they come available? Like CS:S or COD4?

you shouldn't have to... I had the half-life 2 games for windows and I just had to download the OSX version, not re-buy.

Not stupid, but answered a billion times ... Valve has made it clear that THEIR games will be free cross-grades, so if you own one you own both.

So far others (TellTale, indies, Civ IV, etc) have also followed suit.

But there is no guarantee ... and given the pleasure EA and particularly Ubisoft seem to have with consumer-hostile practices, I wouldn't be surprised that no only do they charge you twice, they also make you pay $10 to play Mac<->PC multiplayer ...

OK it's Wednesday past 11 AM Pacific, am I missing something? I don't see any kind of announcement or any new games released.

.

Usually updates have been out by now? Hopefully they haven't ****ed up TF2 and they're delaying it a week and end up giving us something ****** we've never heard of.

It's starting! Just tried to refresh the store page and it gave me the bungled storefront like it did moments before the Sega releases yesterday and the last Mac update last week.

Might have missed something, but why is everybody saying TF2 is not going to be released today?
