That Star Wars pack looks tempting, but it comes with a subscription-based MMO, nah.

I bought Shattered Horizon a couple days ago and it gave me 3 invites good through January 22. Anybody interested?

Edit: 2 left.

I'd ask and that game looks superb, but it needs DX10 so I'm out with my XP:eek:.

Dead space £5.09

anyways happy xmas to all and enjoy your games

I bought the Unreal Pack for a friend. I was playing my $7 copy of UT3 and they were jealous of my sprees. They weren't too keen on Unreal Tournament in the past but after a few hours of playing and nostalgia factor for me they loved it.

The Orange Box £8.49
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box £4.99
Prey £1.35
Killing Floor £3.74
Space Siege £3.74

Word of warning though - Burnout Paradise installs some software for ingame advertising. They also never released the Big Surf Island DLC for the PC version. Just so you know.
Bought Prey, already played it years back but for that price it's worth it just so I can give away my old DVD version. And the Orange Box, amazing price!

If I buy The Orange Box does anyone know if I can gift TF2 since I already own it?

You can gift out Valve games if you already own them, yea. At least that's what they said to people who already owned HL2 and bought the Orange Box.

UH OH they're ran out of keys for Prey, so they've put up Bioshock instead. Question: with it going on sale almost every time there is some kind of event who doesn't already have it?

sale

Are they still going to have the sale after the holidays?

I bought The Orange Box and it didn't come with an extra copy of TF2. I'm not complaining since I got it during the $2.50 Halloween sale. But then again I did pay for two copies. Strange.

WT...! Not that I want this game, but Prey says that it's sold out. How the freak does a DIGITAL COPY sell out? :)

Dirt 2 is only $31, but I want the game retail.

valve is the distributor and only gets X number of keys from the developer to sell

The tinfoil hat theory is that Prey wasn't selling well (it didn't make it into the top 20 sales when it "sold out", also Stalker ran out of keys but was still on sale), so 2K decided to throw in a guaranteed big seller - Bioshock.
It is a bit odd though.

And I forgot how freakin awesome the intro to Prey was!

12/29/09 Update

Silent Hill Homecoming -- $9.99
Mr. Robot --* $1.99
Jade Empire™: Special Edition --$3.75
King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame -- $19.99
Stormrise -- $7.49
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor -- $7.49

Jade Empire™: Special Edition --$3.75
Seriously - if you haven't bought this game yet ... do it NOW!

King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame -- $19.99
There are still bugs, but this is a solid strategy game with some RPG elements and the developers keep issuing patches. I'm just starting, but have heard good things from friends.

Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor -- $7.49
Again - if you are a RTS fan, you should have played this.

I'm incredibly glad and also happy on days when when there is nothing that interests me... I don't spend any money (yay!) but I don't get any new games (sad).

Max Payne 1- £1.49
Max Payne 2- £1.49
Osmos- £1.39
Civilization 4- £4.42
FIFA Manager 10- £20.09
Left4Dead- £6.24!!!
And 2 Civ4 expansion packs.

Funnily enough it's cheaper to buy the Max Payne 1+2 pack than getting them both separately. Which I think I'll be getting, already own Osmos and L4D and the rest dont interest me . Also: Max Payne 1 was brilliant.
Update: They've taken down the Civ4 packs and added World at War.

Max Payne 2 was better.

I want the Civ 4 expansion, but I own the DVD version of Civ 4 and expansion packs on Steam require the Steam version of vanilla Civ :( Looks like I will just have to wait until the whole pack goes on sale.

According to the forums Max Payne 2 doesn't work under Windows 7.

Also Civ 4 Colonization is stand alone. Civ 4 has two expansions though (Warlords and Beyond the Sword). Apparently if you buy Civ 4 and Beyond the Sword, you only need to install Beyond the Sword and it comes with everything from Civ 4, Warlords, and Beyond the Sword except for the scenarios from Warlords. There's no need to download vanilla Civ 4 but you do need to own it from Steam.

Edit: Actually it looks like the Civ 4 complete edition is once again ~$13 so there's really no reason not to get that if you're going to get Civ 4. World at War is on the front page now and they just removed Colonization and Beyond the Sword but they are still on sale.
