Apparently the next update is the final one. I'm hoping they've saved some really ace deals till last (hope we see a novelty 99% off game, like HL1).

Just got round to playing Jedi Knight - Dark Forces 2 for the first time since the demo in 1998 or so. It's actually brilliant and the level design puts Valve to shame. If I could recommend any cheap game its that.

I'll be sad to see this sale come to an end. Maybe after it's all over we can exchange Steam usernames and play some TF2 or Shattered Horizon.

I'm going off what folk are saying on the Steam forums. Some say there will be a update saying its the final day of the sale.

1/2/10 Update

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind® Game of the Year Edition -- $4.99 (75% off)
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 -- $10.19 (66% off)
Painkiller: Collectors Pack -- $8.74 (75% off)
Trine -- $4.99 (75% off)
Counter-Strike: Source -- $4.99 (75% off)

I personally enjoy the combat mechanic a lot more in Fallout 3 than in Morrowind. I find the random flailing of a sword to be klunky. But overall the game was pretty good. For $5 you'll get a ton of gameplay out of it.

1/3/10 (Last Day!)

Grand Theft Auto IV -- $7.49 (75% off)
Torchlight -- $4.99 (75% off)
BioShock™ -- $4.99 (75% off)
Defense Grid: The Awakening -- $2.49 (75% off)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl -- $2.00 (90% off)
Killing Floor -- $4.99 (75% off)
Left 4 Dead 2 -- $33.49 (33% off)

Well that's a bit of a bad ending. Just 7 games that have already been in the daily sales.

I have mixed feelings about today. It's nice to see some deals again since I didn't get them the first time around but I also wanted something new.

I bought GTAIV just so it's in my steam list. It will never run on this computer but I still run around in older GTA games for fun and I expect to do the same in this one (played the Xbox one a bit).

For what its worth, yesterdays items are still on sale too. Trine and Morrowind haven't changed in price at least. update: not anymore they're not .

I've already bought something like 200 hours of singleplayer gameplay from Steam since this sale started. I think I'll be skipping GTA.

What a dissapointing day :(

i was expecting a great end and all you can find is the same again

BTW, if you didn't take torchlight yet, it's a great value.

What kind of tax do they charge? I have a prepaid giftcard with exactly $5.00 on it. Would I be able to get Torchlight with that?

As long as you don't live in Washington state, yes.

Torchlight is coming out for the mac, so you might want to wait. It's the only reason I'm not picking it up.

Looks like the steam servers are being battered heavily, took me 2 hours to pay for GTA4 and Torchlight. Anyhow, those 2 plus the Painkiller set and DoW2 all for less then £30 is pretty good.

Probably not, but I don't mind paying a little more for a native mac experience.

steam's low prices, achievements, and steam friends integration made me pull the trigger. but if you want to support the indie developers more, then it's better to buy straight from runic games
