Waiting on some reviews before deciding. If mini led was available on the 11", it would be that for sure.
Don't care overmuch about Mini-LED but the 12.9 was what I had already decided to replace back in 2019.
I want to buy the 11” but I am most likely going to buy the 12.9”, been saying in a few posts that due to carpal tunnel my doctors have asked me not to hold devices anymore which is my favorite form of tablet use. The mini-LED will then be a good comforter since I will be getting some cool new tech that I wouldn’t on the 11”.
Kinda sucks though since I think the 11” is the best size and enables how I normally would want to use it.

confused by your post.... you are getting the 12.9 because you have carpal tunnel?? is that because it will be desk bound? you will have to move it however....
Heavier than the 2018 and 2020. Just a teensy bit lighter than the 2017. I'm coming from the 2017 Pro so the 2021 should be a nice upgrade all around.
11 for sure; it’s the perfect middle-ground between computer and tablet for my needs. If I really want a bigger screen I can hook it up to a monitor (which I’m doing right now in fact) but for everyday on-the-go use the 11 is a great device for me.
I've always gotten the 12.9, because I prefer the extra screen real estate. The weight isn't an issue for me because the choice is a laptop with tablet Vs 12.9 iPad Pro. When that is the case, the iPad Pro always wins, plus putting only one thing in a backpack / sling Vs. a whole production area.
Yes, I am using the wife’s 12.9” now and it is more or less always in the magic keyboard or lying on a desk when I write on it. Also trying to get accustomed to reading with it propped up on a leg or so instead of holding it. Moving it isn’t a problem at all really as I still have full function in my hands, my doctors just think I should try to keep it that way for the 50-60 years longer I would expect to be alive. Which I kind of have to agree with being a priority for me too.

Jumping up to the 12.9 this year thanks to mini-led. Shame since I love the 11 inch
The 11". It's just a perfect size. I do wish they would have put the nice screen in the 11" but it's not worth compromising on portability for me.
I have a feeling you'll miss the 11". I find that I grab my 11" way way more often then my 1st gen 12.9" after buying the 11".
I'm keeping my 10.5" iPad for now. I just can't quite decide between the Air 4 or the 2021 Pro 11 at the moment.
I'm leaning toward trading in my 2018 12.9" to get into that 11" form factor. So the 11" 2021 it is. Base model.
Very tricky, portability vs larger improved canvas especially if remote into Mac. Can’t really decide but think portability will win so voted 11 inch.
I have the same feeling as well. I dumped my maxed out 16 inch mbp for the iPad 11” and was fine untill I got the magic keyboard. Then I started feeling the screen being a little on the small size and the keyboard being a bit too cramped. So we will see!
I want to try out the 12.9, but the wife gave a firm no, so 11 it is ?
I do want to get back into the drawing hobby again though for recreation, so hopefully it will be okay in the long run. I did end up buying her an Air 4. I tested it out and seems good enough for drawing, but not great for opening split screen to reference.

Same here. I'm definitely going for the 11" iPad Pro.
My wife has the 11” Pro. I have the 12.9”. I’ve debated the whole 11 vs 12.9 issue since the 12.9 came out. And I’ve learned that I prefer the bigger screen. I tolerate the extra 1/2 pound.
I will be getting the 12.9”. I have always had the larger size.
The brighter mini-LED screen is a big attraction for me, as I often use outside, while the faster processor I will put to good use video editing.
