Super Smash Bros. Brawl online thread

two quick heads up from me to you guys.

first, my name on ssbb online changes sometimes as i'm sharing a wii with someone else, and i'm not always on. i'll come up with a name that i'm always under sometime this weekend, and i'll have zero suit samus if i'm online (if something else is there, then it's not me).

second, i'll start deleting friends that have yet to register starting monday night so i don't clog up the friend codes on my wii.

and another thing, has anyone experienced slowdown the past day or so on the play with anyone channel, since i've experienced random lag and dropoffs to the point of annoyance since last night.

A couple people I've been trying to brawl with have an eternal "Brawling Waiting (2/4)" status.

I'll try to join. The first try it seemingly takes forever, then it says their status has changed and I cannot join. I then try again and it goes right in but nobody is in the "room". I'll select my fighter then a stage and I'll play around for about a couple minutes then I get some weird error.

Most of my friends I have zero problems with. Any ideas?

i was trying to reach you last night, and you never came into my room. was i on the problem list perhaps?
 
Who was the Alex playing Zero Suit Samus that taunted "Soy_sauce"? Sorry I dropped near the end.

Was that you, Furcal_chick?
 
Depends on the person. I had some lag on that ZSS match, but for the most part I have almost no actual "lag". No choppiness, everything looks smooth.

However, there's always a half-second of latency. All my attacks go into effect a half second after I hit the button. Seems tiny but it makes timing and countering so very much harder in online matches against pros. You have to think two moves ahead when fighting faster characters.
 
I added some of the codes from the original post, but they all say "awaiting registration". Does that mean the other person has to approve or something? Also, I noticed my code isn't in the OP. It's 3050-7291-4471.
 
I added everyone, let me know when anyone is online and wants to play.

That was me. :)

It was probably me with the lag. My router's wireless suddenly died for a couple hours last night and that match was right before. I've moved the router, the wireless is better. We'll have to have a rematch. :)

@fural I think you were one of the people whose's room I could never connect to.

nope, have yet to play an online match with anyone on this board as of yet.

could be a you problem, i've connected really well to other people's rooms. i'll try again later today.

and btw, i'll be on between 5-7 pm tonight.
 
I'll put mine on, as long as no one sends any messages. Okay? Do I have to add anyone to play or what?

You really should post your AIM up for easier coordination.

EDIT: Room is up and will stay up while I work on other stuff. If anyone feels like joining, join away!
 
I'll be on this morning if anyone wants to play. I am still pretty new at this game but ready for some action.
 
You know what really frustrates me...I have a very hard time remembering names already for people I meet, and when you now combine it with having to remember people's SECOND names...

I can never remember who someone is when I play against them on Brawl because they never have the same name as they do on forums. I've got some pro Brawl players, some work friends, some guys from IGN, and MR people on there but can't tell them apart.

Well I'm pretty easy to spot, I'm always falling off platforms and go by atszy... I'd have the rest but only 5 letters limits me.
 
In all my time in Melee, I caught an item thrown at me like twice ever. I can do it anytime I want in Brawl. Did they make it easy or what? ;)
