So far, I love this case.

Pros: Feels good in your hand, looks good, easy to put on/take off, and seems like it offers good protection, great customer service!

Cons: Screen protector film was hard to put on and I have air bubbles underneath that I couldn't get out, the corners of the protector are starting to peel up, some dirt/dust gets in around the Home button and sides underneath the edge of the rubber/plastic.

I had to use the fingernail trick on the power button as well but so far so good.

Are there better film screen protectors out there that would still work with this case?

Thanks

I got mine today, I got caught up in the hype and so many people saying that it doesn't add too much bulk. I have to disagree, My touch 2G is now bulky:(. It's about the size of the iphone 3G now.
I'll leave it on for a few days to see if it grows on me.

That's one aspect of the case I was pretty satisfied with. For me, it adds just enough size to the iPod that I can tell it's in my pocket along with a few other things, but it's not grabbing anything (like a silicone case) or crowding things out (like I imagine a leather or heavier plastic one would). Of course, I rarely had the iPod in my pocket before getting the case, so I don't have as many data points...

I did a comparison between my iPod and my friends iPhone 3g. And mine is SO much smaller. I love the rebel. I have had so many cases in the past, and this is the absolute first one that I haven't taken off within two days. It fits in my pocket so well, feels comfortable in my hand. I know where the buttons are, and I am not worried about putting it in my backpack when I need to go to class. Over all, seriously the best case I have ever had. I'm not worried about my iPod getting damaged at all.

Finally a good idea as far as cases go.

"We are sorry for the sever booboo." lol I love that. Well I guess I didn't get a faulty one, it went on easy and works great ^_^.

Quick Question...

I've asked this on another thread but without much luck of getting a response. I just ordered the Rebel case and i'm thinking i'll get it sometime this coming week. Anyhow, does the iPod Touch 2g have a 'factory' screen protector on it? There's a piece of plastic on the screen but so far it's proven very difficult to pull off. So much so that I thought that maybe it's NOT supposed to come off. I'd like to throw on the screen protector that comes with the Rebel but would like to know if I should take this first plastic piece off or not. Sorry for the lame question but i'm honestly confused. Thanks in advance...

2 questions about this case

1) Can you dock your iPod with no problem when the case is on?

2) Does the white version get dirty easily?

It comes with a plastic piece that has pretend icons on it to show what it looks likewhile being used. It needs to be removed to use the ipod, so its useless for protection.

Well if your ipod apears to be always on then i think that ^^ post will answer your question. :D

Well I have had the case for a couple of weeks now - great case, but I think I am going to be taking it off. I have been using it without a screen protector as the one that came with it is just junk (see all the comments in thread about bubbles, etc..). It does not add much bulk at all and it feels good in hand, but the problem is in the connectors in that the case adds just to much that what I have will not connect in. I need to use the adapter that was sent with in order to connect up to the aux in my car as otherwise the connector does not sit well. I can not use the chargers I just picked up as they will not sit in and connect - case sticks out to far. I do not have anything that I can dock to at this time, but I fear that when I do pick something up the case will cause it to not sit correctly and will not work.

I am thinking of "cutting" out the bottom a little bit so that there is no problems with any accessories. Otherwise I will sell it as is for half of what I paid for it. Decisions Decisions.

I have a best skin ever on my ipod touch. Will this case fit over it? I have the full body skin and have heard that it is a really tight fit?

Anyone have any pictures (back and front) of their Touch in an Arctic Rebel Touch case? I'm thinking about getting that one, but all I can find are pictures of the iPhone in Arctic.

Likewise, does anyone have any pictures comparing the thickness of their Touch with the case vs without the case, or vs an uncovered iPhone or something? I'm reading mixed reviews on just how much bulk this case adds.

Thanks

The iLougne review has several photos that are pretty much the same as what I saw when I first put my case on (now has some abrasions) but the photos are better than any I would be able to take.

For those of you have extreme problems putting it on or any of the buttons are hard to use, SwitchEasy will replace it at no cost...

http://www.switcheasy.com/notice.php

I requested and received a replacement case, due to have a mediocre- to poorly-fitting power button, and the new case is the same or worse. I give up. I'll continue using my old case, which I've gotten to work reasonably well (the power button works, but there's no click at all) and I'll keep the replacement as a backup in case I feel like giving it a shot again in the future, but I'm giving the case only a luke-warm endorsement. If the soft plastic fit on the buttons better, it would be pretty darn good in my book.

Looking for this on Amazon says it's available from MyGearStore. I looked at it and they charge $9.95 to ship something that only costs $24, and that's only for 3-5 business day shipping. I could understand it if it was electronic and needed lots of packaging, but all they probably due is put it in a mylar envelope and send it. No thanks.

There's always someone looking for make some money from a mark-up, it seems. In case you weren't aware (not sure) you can buy it directly from SwitchEasy.

I thought of that, but they only accept PayPal, which I don't trust. Their shipping charge is only $ 3.00 too.

May I ask why you don't trust PayPal?

It's one of the most secure and best ways to buy something online, imo. I'm just curious as to why you feel differently.

I bought my Black Biscuit from Switcheasy and they were great. Yeah, it took a while, but the product is amazing.

I'm not the one who said I don't trust PayPal, but I don't typically use it because ... I don't typically use it. That is, I would need to restore my password and learn how to use it again, each time I go to use it. I'm sure it's not that difficult, but, well, if there's another payment option I'm likely to go with that.

That said, I bought my RebelTouch through their website and used a credit card to pay. This was about 4 weeks ago, so they probably still take credit cards even though they don't make it clear until the payment page.

Trusting PayPal is not a good idea in my opinion. I don't want to tie my bank account to a company that's not notably secure. Suppose your account gets hacked and someone charges $500, and your bank account goes to $1.00 and then you start bouncing checks? Then you have a black mark on your credit record, overdraft fees from your bank, and people who will level additional charges for not paying the bill on time. Why trust them? At least if you have a credit card you can track spending and dispute charges without endangering your bank account.

That's my main problem with Paypal as well. They have no need for access to my checking account. With a credit card, any charges they make can easily be disputed and you are out no money. If they take it from your checking account, you are out the money immediately and have to fight to get it back.
