Toronto area SwitchEasy retailer

I am a buyer for a local retailer shop, we just had a vendor capture this company for distribution in Canada, and we are looking at bringing in both the Rebel Touch and possibly one of the iphone models.

In the next couple of weeks you should be able to so a search and find this in TO.

That's my main problem with Paypal as well. They have no need for access to my checking account. With a credit card, any charges they make can easily be disputed and you are out no money. If they take it from your checking account, you are out the money immediately and have to fight to get it back.

Not only do you have to fight, they will not issue refunds for 180 days. Just google "paypal security issues" and you get an eyefull. They don't even have a telephone number!

How difficult is it to get it replaced? Does it take a lot of haggling about it? What if you didn't buy it direct from SwitchEasy?

There was no haggling for me. I emailed them my name, address, and explanation of the problem, and requested they send me a replacement case per their statement on that page. I got a reply asking if I had a black or white one (the only options at that time). And then the replacement came to my door, a few days later. I originally did purchase from SwitchEasy, so that may have streamlined things. If you didn't, might as well send them a note asking if they can help you.

Same here, no haggling whatsoever. Just sent an email with my original purchase info (bought direct) and got a reply back the next day saying my replacement was in the mail which I then received a week later.

Well I've had this case for over a month now and I would like to note there has been no problems, the only minor issue I have with it is the hard plastic gets extremely scratched up. It doesn't bother me as long as its not my iPod getting scratched. I also think it is by far the best looking case for the iPod touch.
Would recommend to anyone :)

I HAVE FOUND A CASE BETTER THAN MY REBEL TOUCHES!!!!

THE IFROGZ LUX FOR the ipod touch 2G!

One thing I am really looking for in a case is to protect the glass face from a drop. If I drop my the ipod touch face first will the case protect the screen from shattering/cracking?

Hey Mr. / Ms. CAPS, it's the "Luxe"--when I ran a Google search for "ifrogz lux" I got nearly useless results. Anyway, here's the product page to save others the hassle.

Well i'm sorry that i forgot a letter and don't always proof read my letter and you think your a king english writter who trys to make all others below him look illiterate and retated.

Hmm...

I've asked this on another thread but without much luck of getting a response. I just ordered the Rebel case and i'm thinking i'll get it sometime this coming week. Anyhow, does the iPod Touch 2g have a 'factory' screen protector on it? There's a piece of plastic on the screen but so far it's proven very difficult to pull off. So much so that I thought that maybe it's NOT supposed to come off. I'd like to throw on the screen protector that comes with the Rebel but would like to know if I should take this first plastic piece off or not. Sorry for the lame question but i'm honestly confused. Thanks in advance...

The 2g doesn't have a "factory screen protector". What is exposed is glass and the screen protector would help. I never heard of the piece of plastic, but whatever...:apple:

Has anyone had any nasty drops since putting on the RebelTouch?

Just wondering how effective the protection is in real life.

I really like this case. I've been using it for about five months and am completely satisfied. I was wondering if any of you take your ipod out of the case ever, and if so, how does the soft rubber hold up to it? When putting the case on, the spine was a pretty tight fit and I'm afraid that it may ruin the soft plastic it holds in place if I take it off.

I have the case. The rubber comes off easily because it is very flexible. I had to take it out when i read on their website that the Rebel Touch had a defect in it so I got another one from them for free. Don't worry, you cannot ruin the plastic. I'd rather worrying about ruining your ipod :p since when you take it off sometimes it snaps back on and it makes a noise.

No real nasty drops for me yet. I've dropped it a few times about 3 feet onto dense office carpeting, probably once or twice from lap height onto the floor at the airport, etc., and with the case on never felt the least bit concerned.

This case is the best

I just recently got this case for my iPod touch and I absoulutely love this case. I got my black and white one from a Nu Box store at Suntec city in Singapore for about 50 sing dollars and I would say the price is actually quite cheap for the quality and accesories that the rebel exo skeleton has. The only bad thing about this case is the 'membrain' screen protector. It tried about 5 minutes to put it on but the sticky side got so dirty so i had to use the second screen protecter. I put it on but then when i put the case on it pushed the screen protector and quite a few bubbles appeared on the side of my iPod screen. I couldn't live with that so I just took off the screen protector. Everything else is perfect. The dock connecter protecter is excellent and the case is very sturdy and firm and nice-fitting. I would reccomend this case to anyone who is looking for a professional quality case for an iPod touch 2g. Just ask if anyone has any questions.

The soft silicon plastic it very stong and flezible. I've had to take mine of heaps at first because i had trouble with the screen protector and it's fine. In the end I just diddn't put my screen protector on.:apple::)

Switch Easy is just the best skin on the market.
Beside that they have the best service. Your skin comes with one dock connector, because your Ipod is bigger after you will need this.
But I needed a second one and wrote them where to buy.
They sent me FOUR of them, but of the wrong connector.
I wrote them this and they sent again four pieces - this time the right ones.
I did not have to pay for these and they came in 3 or 4 days.
That's just great customer service !

Hmm, well since as soon as i bought my ipod I got the Invisible shield (IS for short right?) but now the shield is all orangey and disguising and bits started coming off and so i had to cut them off, I know there is a 'warranty' on teh shiedlbut really am I bothered to send the bloody piece of film to like Utah (im in Uk) and wait another 3 weeks and even then don't know if and when I get my money back ;S , so here is my question , in about 2 weeks I'm going on this hinking trip thing (long story) so maybe it is a good idea to get a case now ?? and anyways I might be buying the new touch in September (who knows).
But can someone tell me how bulky this thing actually is ? and like does it allow dust etc. to come between ipod and the case ?? it only costs £19 here so it might be worth a try ...

PS: all my friends choose to keeps their ipods without no protection whatsoever ;/

It says this:

Currently available for U.S Residents Only.
For European orders Click here.

But, when ordering, it has a drop down box of countries
and sure enough, Canada is listed. So you can order one, I wonder if they'll be available at retailers. Does anyone know of these for sale somewhere other then the website?

I am in Canada like you, i emailed Switcheasy and they said it is hard to get around Canadian shipping laws but if I ordered over $50 they might be able to ship it. So instead I opted for eBay which ships internationally (yay). I am pleasantly awaiting it's arrival :D

rebel touch

i live in canada and i ordered the rebel touch 12 days ago and it still hasnt came how long does it take?

I have had the rebel touch for about 3-4 months. I really like this case and my ipod touch 2g has survived some nasty drops with it. It feels good in my hand and it looks cool. The volume controls and on/off buttons work well too.

My only issue with this case is that my touch does not fit into most ipod docks unless I remove the skin which is a little tricky and not something you want to be doing all of the time. This is not an issue for me since I stream my music directly from itunes on a media server at home.

All in all I would order this product again.

*** edit *** I just realized this case comes with a dock adapter. I guess I should look more closely at the various plastic bits that come with this kind of thing. I am skeptical this this will help, but it is worth a try.

Switch Easy is great. I bought their Neo Touch case and i love it. I'm not afraid to drop my iPod and the screen shield has stopped some nasty scatches. I have a bunch of scratched on the shield that could be on my screen. The case is really sturdy and solid, it is very thin too. You can barely notice there is a case on it when holding it. The things It came with were great. The dock adapter fits perfectly, the stand is convenient, and the headphone adaptor is great, I use it a lot
