So, it appears we dodged a bullet by signing in 15 min before hand and trying to order it. I got a confirmation email for my order but haven't been charged yet. Have any of you had any charges on your card yet?
No haven’t been charged. Got my eip email and order documents email. Shows on the main page ships 9-15-22 - 9-15-22.

T-Mobile’s website usually goes up ten to fifteen minutes early for iphone preorder day. Did it this way the last theee or four years.

Good luck to all!!

I can’t get back in to order a watch, though.

So, a recap. I ordered a 128GB 14 Pro Silver this morning just after 8 directly from Apple, with tradein kit of my 13 Pro. Apple offered $600 for the trade. I chose paid-in full and completed.

Next - I find out from T-Mobile rep via Messenger that in order to get the $500 additional bill credits for non-Magenta Max on this trade, you have to do EIP - not pay in full. BUT -- you can pay EIP in full once the bill credits start, and you will continue to get the 24 bill credits for the full $500. However - this contradicts what the terms say which are "“Customer must remain in the T-Mobile Equipment Installment Program and on eligible date plan for 24 months and remain in good standing to receive the full benefit of the bill credits"

OK. Fine. Let me place another order on T-Mobile this time with the trade, choose EIP... But their site is giving me "Cant do this right now, visit a store or call"

OK, fine. Let me try Apple and doing another order - but this time choose EIP. Enter my number and PIN - I get "This number is not active"

This is why, unless it's a HUGE deal, I usually buy unlocked phones. I thought about ordering through T-Mobile, but in general I try to just buy the phone itself and avoid carrier shenanigans.

T-Mobile is offering a max total credits of $1000 if you have Magenta Max. If Apple quoted you $600 trade-in value, then the max that T-Mobile will add is $400, so you wouldn't see $500 anyway. If T-Mobile is saying $500 total based on your plan, then you'd get the $600 from Apple and nothing extra from T-Mobile. They make this so confusing the way they word it. Also, you're right, the terms say you have to stay on EIP, and if you pay it off before 24 months, the credits stop.

I just tried to order via the Apple site using T-Mobile as my carrier and it says Oct 3-10 for delivery date! Ugh

But, you're leaving money on the table when its not necessary.. When you order from Apple, its unlocked.. I always pay in full.. Last year with the 13 Pro, if you did carrier activation with T-Mobile on the Apple Store, you got a) trade value from Apple b) monthly bill credits for $200 from T-Mobile and c) an unlocked phone. Pretty silly to leave $500 on the table for a $1000 device.

I can't order from either T-Mobile (via app, website or phone) nor by using the T-Mobile equipment installment option using the Apple website which says "Account Inactive". If my Company didn't subsidize my wireless bill (which includes a subsidy for hardware) I would just buy outright from Apple but I'm not about to give up a $20/month subsidy for as long as there is a hardware cost on my wireless bill.

Pretty ridiculous we have to go through hoops in 2022 to order a phone.

So is anyone having success with either T-Mo directly or with Apple for the installment plan?

I called 5 minutes after presale started and talked to rep. They seemed to get mine ordered but I got no confirmation or anything because it seems like the system went down. Don’t know what to do?!?!

Order an iPhone 14 Space Black 128GB and iPhone Pro Deep Purple 256GB via the Sprint/T-Mobile app at 6:59CST with no issues. Just got a payment confirmation from them

Seems like Apple has given up on using T-Mobile's authentication system. I was able to reserve a phone pending their system coming back up. Progress I suppose.

For those that ended up buying outright or used Apple monthly financing due to T Mobile's failure, T Mobile should support us being able to go into Apple Store on pickup day, have them process a return, then repurchase under the T Mobile subsidized program.

FINALLY got through.

Ended up having to go with the regular Pro to get it on launch day (in store pickup) which I was debating on downsizing anyway so I think I'll be okay with it.

iPhone 14 Pro 512GB Space Gray

All morning no luck trying to trade in my gfs phone. Waiting on a call back when system is up. So frustrating.

They just called me back—the Manager I spoke to earlier. Processing my order now. Let’s see if this goes through. I’m actually shocked they called back. I know some people were saying they were told tomorrow for calls back.

ETA: it worked—got the 14 Pro 256 Deep Purple for $92 in taxes with a launch day delivery!
