I just got lucky, maybe? I saw the post here indicating it was back up and went into the app becuase the website was still wacky and the app lets you click right on the phone you want to upgrade and go from there, which is nice. Every step (especially DocuSign) I figured would be a failure point, but it worked for both. Best of luck to everyone else, and thanks @Aibocyrus for the answer to my Q!
It went through without issue over the phone with launch day delivery. I received all confirmation emails, the docusign email, signed that, and now the order shows up In my account on t-mobile. I also just received the text with the order confirmation and order number. I would highly suggest calling before the orders slip.

Can someone clear this up for me quick? Are the "Carrier Deals" not available if you want to finance through Apple Card Installments? In order to get the trade-in credit, does it strictly have to be financed through T-Mobile's EIP?
I just ask because I could swear last year I financed through Apple Card Installments and still received a T-Mobile trade-in credit. Maybe they officially changed it and I missed that?!

I asked a rep this. She said if you don’t care about the promo deal, you can upgrade anywhere. But if you want the full promo it has to be done through t-mobile. This is because they do not use the same third party company to receive the trade in devices.
Earlier when Tmobile was having issues Apple let me reserve a phone and said I could place my order when the issues are no longer there. At the moment, it seems like T-Mobile is working on Apple's site again.
I'm unsure whether I should place an order now or wait for the email. Placing the order now would give me a delivery date of Oct 10-27, the email said I should get a delivery date of 2-3 weeks.

My order just got placed not long ago through t-mobile over the phone and I got launch day ship dates. Idk if that helps or not.

Before all the trouble this morning, I wanted the phone on release day, but with all the issues I sort of convinced myself that I can wait a couple weeks to a month. My mind will probably change back to wanting it on release day in a few hours lol, if that's case, T-Mobile directly is probably my only chance.
If you don’t care about the promo, try in store pick up for Best Buy or through apple if they are offering in store pick up for your area.
I was able to do it over the phone. She said she saw an order I had placed already which I’m guessing was the apple one on hold and now I have to figure out how to cancel that one. They had a BOGO offer for one 700 off so we went with that and according to the email they will be here Friday
Same. Super frustrating. And I will be on a long ass flight with no wifi in a few hours.

Yeah I noticed that too. Was tempted to just put the order through but then it would cancel my reservation so I’m going to wait for the email as it appears if I order using the reservation I’ll get an earlier date of the 2-3 weeks. Here’s to hoping that reservation doesn’t get screwed up.
