I’m still rocking the Xs Max 256gb so I hope they offer some trade in program for current customers. I figure I’ll go 14 Pro Max 512gb.

If I'm reading the fine print on the Apple iphone 14 page correctly, then the Apple Trade In and the carrier (Tmobile) deals may stack. Is that others' interpretation? That you'll get the instant Apple checkout discount AND the 24-month bill rebate?

Edit: asking because it seems fairly unbelievable even though it's written as "and" in the fine print.
This is what I’m understanding as well. It seems crazy.

“Credit comprised of (i) Apple instant trade-in credit at checkout and (ii) T-Mobile monthly bill credits applied over 24 months.”

For a 12 Pro you get an instant trade in credit of 425 and bill credits of 574 for a total of 999..

Where is this published? I have T-Mobile One. Is that equivalent to Magenta? What about Xs Max? Can you do trade in in store?

I upgraded from the One plan to the Magenta Max plan to get the $1000 deal. Only $10 more per month with two lines. Going from an iPhone 11 Pro to an iPhone 14 Pro Max 512gb in Black.

Best Buy had some killer deals last year, $800 for my 12 pro and then all the 13 pros were marked down by $100.Hopefully they do that again, but who knows. Keep an eye out for it, it didn’t require magenta max last year.
This is how I got my 13 pro max. Hoping they do it again as well since I still have EIP on my 12 pro max with T-Mobile.

Saw this:

Starting this Friday, September 9, new and existing T-Mobile and Sprint customers, including businesses, can choose from the following offers:

  • iPhone 14 Pro on Us (or up to $1000 off any iPhone 14 series) with 24 monthly bill credits plus tax when trading in an eligible device on Magenta MAX; Business Unlimited Advanced, Ultimate or Ultimate+ for iPhone; or equivalent Sprint plan.
  • HALF OFF the iPhone 14 Pro (or up to $500 off any iPhone 14 series) with 24 monthly bill credits plus tax when trading in an eligible device on almost all T-Mobile plans.
  • Pick up one iPhone 14 and get a second on Us (up to $700 off) with 24 monthly bill credits plus tax when adding a line on almost all T-Mobile plans.
  • Pick up any new Apple watch and get $200 off the second when adding a new watch line.
And at Metro by T-Mobile, starting September 16, anyone can get $200 off the iPhone 14 via instant rebate when they switch and verify ID on a qualifying plan!

This is what I’m understanding as well. It seems crazy.

I'm sorry to ask this, but what does that mean exactly?

Are there any monthly payment reductions for turning in your mint condition but not paid off 13PM when you upgrade? 👀🤣

I'm sorry to ask this, but what does that mean exactly?
It means the price break you given is applied over 24 month period each month. It also means that if you exit early they charge back the price breaks and you must pay the full cost of the device before they unlock it.

Hmm. Shows +$15 per line for me to upgrade to Max on the iOS T-Mobile app. So $100 otd for 3 lines or $145 for max plus all taxes n fees. I wonder what that’ll add too. Hrmmm. I got the tmo one when it was buy two get one free. Crazy I only use 1 line though but my kid is 8 and I figure at some point she will get a phone. Makes no sense to get rid of them, the lines won’t get cheaper 4 yrs from now

Maybe I call support or stop in to the store tomorrow and ask

`I was all ready to order a iPhone 14 Pro until I saw the phone today. I normally go every two years and then do the replacement but now I decided to just keep my iPhone 12 Pro. There just does not make sense to me this time around and I am going to wait another year. Incremental improvement and this time with no SIM tray makes me decline the new as I do travel international every 3 years or so and it is so nice to pop out my t-mobile SIM buy a local SIM in the country and have cell service at that location.

I definitely want the 14 PM. 128 has proven to be enough for me for my last 2 PM’s a 11 and currently a 12.

On the fence about Purple or Black. I’ll decide by Friday.

I might give up my ‘one amplified’ account to switch to magenta max. Looks like it’s 20 more per month (although it’s really hard to tell now with the Netflix and all that..).

I will be getting the 14 Pro Max in purple. DH will get it in either black or gold.

Anyone know the mechanics of doing this? On the Apple website they had the deal there which seemed to imply we could do this through Apple which would be fine.

However, at T-Mobile I have it set that no one can remove a phone from our plan without giving them a password. I assume that is not a problem at this ordering stage and we will do that when we activate phones or something?

Also, assuming we can order this through Apple, is there any advantage to doing it through T-Mobile. If we do it through them can we just do it online.

Oh - one other question. I am the account holder at T Mobile. If we can order through Apple will DH have any problem doing his order under his Apple ID since he is not the T Mobile account holder?

(Realize these may be basic questions but I've never bought on a T-Mobile offer before. In the past, used Apple upgrade program but the T-Mobile deal is too good)

Hate that there aren't deals without a trade in.
Z Fold 4 is getting returned for the 14PM, 128gb in (Vikings) purple.

Has anyone actually seen the table of eligible devices and their trade in value?

I don’t get what happens if you’re on a family plan on magenta 55+.
would we have to switch to magenta pro plan and get two phones with 1000$ discounts each or just one.
I need to have a chat with T-Mobile.

Also, we got our 12pro max’s in November when they came out so we still have 2 months on our plan not sure if it would carry over or have to pay it off before hand.

My 13 Pro Max is paid off. Should I trade in with Apple to get $720 off or should I trade in with my carrier (T-Mobile) and get $1,000 off ($705 discount and $294 bill credits)?
Be careful trading in with T-Mobile. I send them my 11 Pro Max to get my 12 Pro Max 2 years ago and they tried the old "we didn't get it bs" about 2 months after I sent it in and tried to get me to pay full price. They gave me the runaround for about 4 weeks until they finally located it. I don't trust the independent company they use and will never do the mail in trade in again with anymore.

There are plenty of horror stories out there about this so just be careful. BTW I'm just gonna buy it directly from Apple and then sell mine probably on Craigslist if I can't get a friend to buy it.
