Be careful trading in with T-Mobile. I send them my 11 Pro Max to get my 12 Pro Max 2 years ago and they tried the old "we didn't get it bs" about 2 months after I sent it in and tried to get me to pay full price. They gave me the runaround for about 4 weeks until they finally located it. I don't trust the independent company they use and will never do the mail in trade in again with anymore.

There are plenty of horror stories out there about this so just be careful. BTW I'm just gonna buy it directly from Apple and then sell mine probably on Craigslist if I can't get a friend to buy it.
Holyyyy!! This happened To me as well, I seriously considered leaving tmobile.

They took my promo away from me because they couldn’t locate it, mind you I shipped it in their box and used their label.

I ordered my phone in November 2020, they didn’t locate the phone until Jan 2022! They hit me up this year and said it was located. Here’s the catch…bc it was beat up on its journey to them they had to lower how much credit they were giving me. I tried to fight it but they wouldn’t budge smh

Everybody I talked to about it gave me the runaround, promised to research it and fix but never called me back. I told them that I didn't appreciate being called a liar and they located it quickly after that. I just started communicating with their Twitter team and they basically just waived the bill credits all at once and gave me instantaneous credit. I was so relieved. I told them that I wasn't planning on leaving so that wouldn't be an issue.

What's funny is that a few years ago a couple of local T-Mobile stores in my area would just let me bring in my trade-in there. They ended up stopping that though and making you send it it.

I believe Apple will let you bring your trade-in still when you pick up a new phone with them. That's the best way to go.

Excuse me if I rambled a little here. I'm heading to bed and just took an Ambien and it's making me a little loopy.

Haha no worries man

This described my exact experience, I’m going to be nervous if I can’t bring it into the store… but I do know shopping ANYTHING in 2020 was nuts. I used to work in retail back then and our boxes would be so delayed So I’m hoping that’s the reason, because idk how they lost and then found a package from almost 2 years lol

There’s a big price difference this year.. for me it’s 999 with T-Mobile vs 430 with apple.. no other way to get that much for an iPhone 12 Pro. Does anybody know if you still can’t bring it in to a T-Mobile store?

With the magenta max it says “up to 1000” so I’m guessing all phones won’t hold the same value, when do we find out the values lol unless I’m completely off

Oh, I used the Apple Store app and since it knows what phone I have it just shows this:

Did y'all not have tracking numbers showing they received the phones??

How does it work when the phone you trade-in is still getting "bill credits" from last year?

We traded in an XS and got $500 off or whatever (monthly credits), but want to trade the 13 Pro for the 14 Pro this year. Do the credit from the last phone still add to the bill?

This is what I’m understanding as well. It seems crazy.

“Credit comprised of (i) Apple instant trade-in credit at checkout and (ii) T-Mobile monthly bill credits applied over 24 months.”
Yes, definitely wild discounts! If you click "See all deals" at the very top under "Special Carrier Deals" it is spelled out more clearly. For my iphone 12 mini, total discounts after trade-in & T-Mo EIP would be $400 on the iPhone 14 Pro.

I have a iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max Pro with 8 remains promotional payments left to make. I called today and asked if I could pay off the remaining balance with the promotion included and they said I couldnt.
What will happen if I buy the new iPhone 14 Pro on Apple.com with device trade in option? Will T Mobile allow me to continue making the payments on the iPhone 12s until they are paid off and the new payments on the iPhone 14s?

If I upgrade through apple using the carrier promotion, who do I trade in my phone to, will it have to go to T-mobile or apple? Reason why I ask is because my back is shattered and T-mobile accepts, however, apple does not.

I will be ordering the iPhone Pro 128GB.

Any recommendations on what's easier, doing it through your T-Mobile online account, Calling, or using T-mobile Twitter?

Im going through Tmobile rather than Apple this year, what do you guys think the best route of ordering is to receive it on release day? Online, app or customer service on the phone?

I see we can order it on Apple through Tmobile but that seems risky because you will be behind people that are pre approved right?

Last year, T-Mobile offered $200 statement credit promo for non-Magenta Max customers, in addition to Apple Store trade-in credit. I was able to trade-in iPhone 12 Pro for iPhone 13 Pro for only $160 + tax.

This year, T-Mobile is extending this deal only to Sprint customers. Bummer.

I am debating about selling mine as well and listing to for 800ish. I’m thinking I may get more if I do it now but I need a burner for a week lol

I did but the last destination had no update on it, in this instance I think the courier either lost it or was realllllly delayed with delivering it. They had the tracking number and I even filed a claim and nada.

For my 13 pro max on magenta I’ll get a 720 credit to my account making my pay Rt around 15.00. Still off that I have a put a deposit on the phone seeing as I’ve never had a payment plans as all my devices were paid with cash.

For those that have ordered a 512GB Pro before, and retail is $1299, what is the down payment? Lets say I trade in an 11 Pro for the $500 credit (Non Magenta plan). Trying to see what my down payment will be, I dont want to have to pay too much up front.

I’m looking to finally move BACK to T-mobile after 30+ years with ATT… I’ll be moving to the Magenta Max+ 55+ plan (yes, it means that) for two lines.. does anyone know if this type of thing can be done via a line transfer and promo upgrade or does it require some sort of after purchase work around?

Purple. But I’m moving from iPhone 13 Pro Max down to the Pro size. Only had 128GB on the 13. Going to upgrade to 256GB for the 14. Want to try out the 4k pro res video this time around. I think it’ll be easier to reach the new fantasy island at the top, also. LOL

I could be way off but in our experience the down payment is the price of the phone minus $750. So we’d personally end up paying $549 *phew!* but if you have that $500 credit you might only end up paying the $50 plus or minus taxes!

I’ve been pretty successful with Twitter actually. Not many people know it’s an option (including some T-Mobile reps I’ve spoken with), but it is! I’ll probably call and try messaging on Twitter to see who responds/answers me the quickest.
