I got charged for my phone but it says processing with delivery date 9/21-9/21 but it has not changed from processing I hope I get my phone tomorrow

Fortunate to have an active tracking number with arrival tomorrow.
My order status on T-Mobile still says Processing rather than shipped which is irrelevant at this point.

I’m having the hardest time believing a company doing pre orders for probably their highest grossing product having this big of a F-Up. Why have a pre order event if you aren’t going to have the product in the customers hand on launch day. Instead days in hand after launch. Makes zero sense. No incentive to pre order. There seems to have been a huge disconnect between the hierarchy at T-Mobile during this pre order. I’m happy that I’ll be getting a device tomorrow, however I am sincerely p$$d off and feel for those that won’t be receiving their pre order. Everyone on this forum is the hype and excitement of the Apple community and this is complete bull$. Especially for the new “un carrier”.
I remain optimistic for those who ordered will still get their device tomorrow, however it’s clear many won’t. It’s disappointing.
This pre order fail should get some front page attention so the word spreads, cause chances are the disconnected hierarchy at T-Mobile doesn’t even know what’s happening right now.

TLDR; TMo big time pre order fail.

WOWWWWW Tmobile, bunch of f*cking idiots. lOL I cannot believe I am not getting my phone on launch day and I was up at midnight to pre-order. Ridiculous.

My status still says processing and I did pre-ordered 9/14.

This is so unlike last year. Their website isn’t updating and the rep don’t know schit. Something is wrong with T-Mobile.

I pre-ordered online 2 am Friday morning from the t-mobile website after being unable to log into the apple website. I was able to snag a XS max 256gb gold with a delivery date of 9/21 to my apartment in Chicago.

Everything seemed to go smooth in till Monday morning when I got a text from bank for a fraud alert.

I called T-mobile right was and was able to sort it all out, and the assured me that I would not lose my place in line and that as long as the charge goes trough I should get the phone on 9/21

Yesterday I checked my account and saw my device is "Kept on hold", I read on here that is t-mobile catch all status for any account with billing issues.

Today I read on here that a few users with the "Kept on Hold" were able to call the 611 line and get their tracking numbers.

I just got off the phone with t-mobile about 5 min ago, according to them everything is looking fine. My credit card was processed and everything looks good on their end, but they don't have a tracking number yet. They say I should get a tracking number tomorrow.

Any one else have a similar issue? Any one else not get a tracking number yet?

I knew as soon as I started complaining/freaking out I get a tracking number!

Should be here tomorrow :)

im in the same camp as you, and I’m also pissed off for everyone else that’s not getting theirs tomorrow. I’ve been there, done that with Tmo and it really does suck. There’s no buffer for screwups, and at the least if they miss your expectations, you’re waiting at least through the weekend. This year was different though — a LOT of people got the shaft. In past years there were a few here and there where they screwed up. This year though it wasn’t due to errors that may have been made — it was clearly a coordinated effort for Tmo to save a buck on the launch. That’s evident in the credits people are receiving. It’s evident in how they kept all of the info on pricing leading up to the pre-order a mystery. It’s evident in how the vague “it will ship by the 21st” statements were made, and it was evident with reps not even discussing shipping options at the time of order. Totally unacceptable and indicative of a scummy company that’s gotten too successful to be pro-customer at this point.

The rep I called said said all shipping is subject to change right now. When it gets to a hub it will update shipping so just wait till tomorrow to see if anything changes

T-Mobile hasn’t updated my order on their page but their a Twitter team gave me my tracking number.

I think one thing is clear.. I fortunately canceled my order in time on Monday to get re-ordered with overnite, so I'll have mine tomorrow.. But I'm done with this whole business of not knowing **** as far as how much youre going to pay at 3:00 AM when you get up for a pre-order or what method your rep is randomly going to decide to ship, or any multitude of other inaccurate info that you cant rely upon by these reps.. I'm just going to do the Apple route from now on.
This is why i was being very clear with a lot of you, that if it said ground UPS it would stay that way. Some of you did decide to cancel/reorder. I can certainly see why some did not want to lose their place in line. But at same time, if you guys place an order and notice they gave you ground instead of overnight, maybe should have tried to get that resolved right away.

Nonetheless, tmobile reps should have been much more clear with you all.

Agreed, the entire thing is very very shady. Certainly a cost cutting exercise. Obviously management knew that phone launches meant people wanting their device launch day. Why else have the old policy of automatic next day air. But then they changed it this year which must have been to save on shipping costs but didn't actually do the work of telling reps and people about it. Huge mistake. Now they are on the back foot. It's all over their forums and twitter. People are not happy.

Incompetence at its finest. I could forgive their business-plan change with required down-payments on all JoD, but this is pure incompetence.

I was told right away “because of the status of your account, we will waive the shipping fees and you will receive your phones on release day”. If they told me otherwise, I would pay for 2-day air, and most likely have it waved, but no.

Cognitive dissonance. To lose so much goodwill with long-term customers over a couple of dollars in shipping.

Thanks for all of the input everyone, congrats to those that will actually get their phones on release day, when they were supposed to. All of the best to those in the same situation as me, especially to our neighbors to the west in Hawaii, who somehow got ground shipping as well.

They weren't just unclear they actively said there are no other options in many cases like mine. AND then subsequent staff I asked to check on it later as well.

The problem with this whole mess is that I will forget how they screwed most of us. Then during the next pre-order i'll go through the same thing again. Seen it year after year and i'm still here. I blame myself for not learning.

I’m the same way don’t feel bad :)
I get too excited every time Apple has a new launch. I go in thinking it’ll go better but something ALWAYS goes wrong.

Thats just plain dirty... everyone should complain. Something will come of it.

And the reps just keep spewing nonsense. Those ground shipments, most of them are going on trains from Louisville unless they’re less than 400 miles or so — and for less than 400 miles, those folks are probably in the 1-day ground zone or at most 2-days.

Serious question: how many times have you called this pre-order period? Haha, I wonder if they know you by now :0

I've learnt the hard way after being burnt so many times by T-Mobile. The people that haven't been burned before were all the ones saying "everyone who got charged will get their phone on friday 100%" whereas those of us that have been screwed before all knew the truth that we wouldn't get those phones until next week, especially if you live on the west coast.

I ordered the max, 256gb this past Monday night off of T-Mobiles app, chatted with a customer sales rep. Anyways charges were pending until today. On the app still says processing, expected delivery September 26 to October 2. I received an email early this afternoon from UPS and it’s from T-Mobile and the phone shipped...will be here tomorrow and my account was charged. I don’t know what’s going on with them. I did the jump program for the record, but I had similar situations happen like this with att in the past.
