The rep I called said said all shipping is subject to change right now. When it gets to a hub it will update shipping so just wait till tomorrow to see if anything changes

huh? If you have UPS Ground in your My Choice, you're not getting it Friday and nothing will change from now until then to prevent that.

Well, well..... T-Mobile, wow. Let me just recap my own thinking involving this preorder.

See a little over 2 years ago, I ordered the 7 Plus and this exact debacle took place then. You would think I would have learned a valuable lesson about preordering and receiving a phone on Launch Day, but hear me out...

I was on an island at the time.

If anyone here lives in Hawaii they KNOW there is NO such things as Amazon 2-Day Shipping, Next Day shipping, Air, whatever it may be, your package has to cross a giant body of water, and trust me things go wrong all the time with delivery dates. So, I was partly prepared, somewhat annoyed with the 5-day delay after launch for my new phone.

But, this time I was in the Mainland (as those from Hawaii will say), I'm in Texas right now. So, here I am thinking, "oh, this preorder finna be a breeze!".

No.

I should have just flew back home, put my feet BACK in the sand and chilled out, but here I am using a DUSTY Samsung S6 Edge, I don't know what I'm doing, the screen is cracked, its slow as snails in molasses on an incline.

What I mean to say is its been a glorious few weeks, seeing as how I beat the market and sold my old iPhone 7 Plus for $480, I thought I was doing masterful work. (sarcasm)

That's what I get for being clever.

Again, the Launch Day slips right on by and my phone is scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. Whats worse? This is the EXACT same time frame T-Mobile took for the 7 Plus 2-years ago, when I was shipping ALL THE WAY TO HAWAII. Somehow my rep decided when I said, "I would like the phone delivered on Launch Day", that is was actually "Opposite Day" and what I really meant was, "Deliver the phone the slowest method UPS has and just let me chill on the phone at the most reckless of hours, so I can place an order, knowing I can walk into a store on Launch Day and receive it, because I like doing foolish things."

Thanks.

P.S. - Lesson FIRMLY learned, but let me be real.. I just dropped $2500+ for two phones, y'all ain't gonna see me back for the FORESEEABLE future. Apple better drop the iPhone Cranium Edition with optional Robot support, before I re-up on this level of price tags.

If he has overnight there's nothing that's gonna change once it reaches the Louisville hub.
Mine already made it to Queens, NY

TMobile makes money selling service not phones. They probably prefer you go to Apple so they don't have to float the cash on the phone.

ok? you have next day air so that's not surprising in the slightest. your phone is getting shipped exactly as the label specifies.

I've been silently observing.. Ordered every new iPhone since the 4.. I've been with T_mobile for several years and I'll say the pre-orders never go smoothly, sadly. I told myself I'd switch to Apple's iPhone upgrade program this year but decided I'd give T-Mobile another chance with JOD... Huge mistake I guess.

I ordered by phone at midnight PST--3 AM EST. I had them process two separate orders--my iPhone XS Max 512GB SG and then my Watch SG aluminum. My phone phone order has a timestamp of 3:15 AM EST and my EIP/lease agreement was signed by 3:18 AM EST. My Watch order has a timestamp of 3:22 AM EST and I got the confirmation email of my signed agreement at 3:24 AM EST.

I have seen no charges to date for my phone on my credit card. status says processing with estimated ship date of 9/21-10/02. I see a pending charge for my Watch which had a ship date of 9/21-9/21. Also, I see a shipment from T-Mobile in My UPS with a delivery date of tomorrow, has a weight of 1.7 LBS... I am sadly assuming this is just my watch at this point.

Totally sucks to not get the phone on launch day. This is the most exciting time of the year with a huge let down. Most likely this will be my last T-Mobile pre-order.

Yes, that is a watch. Max is 1.10 lbs.

Yep. Was never worried. Just here for the fun. But also trying to help. Nobody wanted to listen to us though...

Same here man. Even the watch thing. For some reason those got Next Day Air. Which just makes the whole thing even more baffling!

WOWWWWW Tmobile, bunch of f*cking idiots. lOL I cannot believe I am not getting my phone on launch day and I was up at midnight to pre-order. Ridiculous.

dont feel bad i'm with you on the same day.[/QUOTE]

As am I...

Nothing to sign so how can you refuse
[doublepost=1537477667][/doublepost]Everyone with ground shipping!!!!!

Last year I had ground shipping for iPhone 8 launch. I got it on release day. Wait till 8am on 9/21 to see what’s going on. You maybe surprised with a new delivery date

Similar thing happen to me last year. But it really seems like this year ground actually means ground. I wish T-Mobile did a better job with the phone orders. Doesn’t seem like anyone was offered any shipping options but reps automatically selected ground. Why else would we PRE-ORDER id we didn’t want them ASAP.

Yeah so many people were being wayyyyy too optimistic about how T-Mobile handles pre-orders and how UPS handles iPhone deliveries: coming up with all sorts of stuff like T-Mobile are gonna automatically upgrade people from UPS Ground or that UPS will ship all iPhones via next day air because of some deal with Apple, yada yada yada. Not even that upset about not getting my phone on release this year (considering this year's model is mostly tame), just found it baffling that people were inventing all sorts of stories to convince themselves and others that everyone that got charged will be getting it on Friday with no exceptions.

I'm glad my sister is getting her XS tomorrow though, she's had a 6 for years now and I think the XS is gonna be a huge upgrade for her. Excited to see what she thinks of that OLED and camera
