The problem with this whole mess is that I will forget how they screwed most of us. Then during the next pre-order i'll go through the same thing again. Seen it year after year and i'm still here. I blame myself for not learning.

I feel like the number of ****s up that happen to you is inversely proportional to how badly you want the phone on launch day. This year, I didn't care that much as compared to previous years, ordered around midnight but canceled the next day for T-Mo promo. Placed second order late afternoon (West Coast). Still getting the phones tomorrow. One is UPS Next Day Air and other is UPS 2nd Day Air. Last pre-order (iPhone 7), got my phones a full one week later after launch even though I ordered within 10 minutes after pre-orders started!
 
Thats part of the problem. The app had free second day air shipping. But, for many people, me included, on preorder night, the app wasnt working. So I had to call in and order. When I did, I assumed that shipping would be the same, and it was never disclosed as any different. On the EIP it shows ground shipping, so I should have caught it then, but it was after midnight, and I didnt read it as closely as I should have. They did a terrible job this year explaining what was going on, and every rep was telling people different things.


JOD customers had no choice to order over the phone. We could have done it online via chat and took the risk of the website crashing.
 
Both of the watches I ordered were charged for this morning, but no tracking info. Still holding out hope that it will appear.

haha so true. Most of the people who ordered during the day probably had better call center operators who knew about the shipping options.
 
I went into my local store today. I heard the rep talking on the phone to another store and he said they got no phones and they were opening at 8 AM. Bummer. I was going to try and get one but decided to just order it through the chat.

I took the Facebook Messenger route.. But it takes forever. I’m JOD also. My cancel and reorder took 3h 45m. The good thing is that I didn’t have to direct all my attention to them during the 20 minutes between messages.
 
just realized that getting the phone on tuesday works best for me because i have jury duty and i can choose not to go back to work
it usually lasts about 3 hrs :) so i can have the rest of the day off
 
Myself like a lot of you guys ordered on release through the phone rep. iPhone s max 256gb it’s shipping ground with delivery 26th. I ordered at 3 am as well I’m not happy about this at all I called and they gave me a 30 dollar credit. I didn’t want to ask for more but I’m sure I could have got 50 just passing the news to everyone.
 
The app was crashing on me so i called the t mobile rep. But i was trying parallely on the app. After multiple do overs i was able to order before the rep could finish the order. Also the rep was asking fir a $550 down payment vs $350 i paid on the app. There was no shipping fee and i got 2nd day air saver.
 
I feel like it’s the perfect screen size for me too. I loved my Jet Black 7 when I had it. I’m kind of interested in the XR though to be honest. I haven’t seen it in person yet to see how it feels.

I love the ProductRED XR but I need OLED. LCD, as great as it may be on iPhones, is a thing of the past for me. no going back.

By the way, my shipment is now in Ontario CA. Excited!!
 
Just messaged Tmobile on Twitter since customer care was no help. Got my tracking number.

I ordered at the store at 10am cst paid for overnight shipping and had care credit the charge. Happy to be getting it tomorrow.

That's way to long. I thought the good thing about phone orders is that there was a better chance of getting an order secured just in case of high demand and low supply. I think that was an issue with iPhone X.

Check this out. The ppi are pretty crappy on this for a 6.1” phone. Most apps now are optimized to use the high resolution displays.

 
Alright guys, watching everyone else get their devices tomorrow is going to be too depressing so I'm going to bounce out. To those of you who got lucky with your rep or app, enjoy your new toys :)

Possible, but you need a departure scan. Origin scan means UPS has the package, departure scan means it's moving somewhere. Yesterday a lot of us with ground had estimated delivery for tomorrow, but woke up to updated dates next week.

Already?! Yay! Too bad we can’t just drive there haha so close yet so far

I never had a estimated delivery and now it says rescheduled delivery for tomorrow.
