So I didn't see comments yet (I didn't go through all the pages) but I was curious when we start seeing flights on flightaware that we know are iPhones? It's been minute, and I know others on here are way better about this stuff than me.

https://flightaware.com/live/iphone

Once you've received your UPS tracking number from Apple, use this page to figure out what flight is carrying your iPhone or Apple Watch. The “departure scan” in your UPS tracking should match the departure time for a flight listed below.

This only works for apple orders I believe.

You order your phone yet?

Anyone still receiving the “we’ve hit a snag message” when trying to preorder online or in the app?

It's locked. You picked a Verizon phone and it will be locked to Verizon. Arguing with everyone trying to answer your question because you don't like the answer is juvenile.

Whoa it’s not that serious. Just tryin to get clear info. I thought buying full price from the apple store means it stays unlocked. I want to eventually use Tmobile esim and Verizon physical sim.

I’m reading now on sites like reddit that Verizon has backtracked on this supposed new locking policy too.

Hey Nate, nice to see you active on forum again!

Since I also do a trade in and webpage was being buggy, so I just (~5min ago) placed my over via Twitter. signed EIP and everything. Was also able to get rep to save order with overnight shipping without extra charge.

Might want to give it a try.

Question. I’m new to T-Mobile and I’m wondering if you order through TM, does it update to “preparing to ship”? Or do you just get a notification when it ships?

It will not. If it’s anyrhing like the last few years, next step is your credit card gets charged if you have a down payment and soon after it’s a shipped notification. T mobile only charges right before it ships.

As I got $0 down on JOD last year for my iPhone X, I always hoped (and assumed) to get the same $0 down upgrade for the next device. I figured it would be a smooth transition and that I'd simply be restarting the same payments with an updated device.

So, when both T-Mobile and T-Force on Twitter repeatedly indicated on Thursday that "$0 down JOD" would be offered for well-qualified customers, even one rep adding that $0 down JOD would be offered for the Xs Max as well, I was ready to go for even the Max, knowing I'll add just a few extra bucks monthly on the lease.

Of course, when the time came to preorder Friday morning, they offered me $99 and $109 for the Xs and Xs Max, respectively, causing a lot of angst also among fellow subscribers who felt equally misinformed. Them citing that the "Xs has a higher price point" didn't make sense, since the X then is at the same price as the Xs is now.

After a few attempts with a few reps off and on over the span of my work day (Twitter responses took as much as 40 minutes each), and providing direct links of the tweets (some of which had already been backtracked and deleted by them), I was able to get one T-Force rep to honor the deal by crediting $109.99 to my account after successfully completing a JOD preorder upgrade for a 64GB Xs Max, right before my next AutoPay.

I don't know how many other people were actually able to get their JOD upgrade for $0 down with this method (except for one who posted on Reddit a few hours earlier) or another method, so I guess some of us were just lucky... and/or persistent.

Yeah, I made a thread on reddit. lol they deleted the ones, I saw. I was shocked they credited me for their mistakes lol. But did anyone get a text message saying "Thanks for your order! Order# will ship between 9/21/18 and 9/21/18. You'll see charges on your card soon."?

I was told 30 mins before preorder that it would be $109 down and I was good with that. But come preorder time they hit me with $379 down. I went thru 4 phone calls, tForce and the messages in the app from 12am till 2 am and then the better part of half the day and I could only get one rep to say he’d give me a $100 credit. Idk what to do, I was quoted one thing then the just changed it.

Do you have any idea what your shipping ECD is?

I know there systems were having issues with telling reps what you qualify for down payment wise. But have you been with T-Mobile for over 3 years and made 12 payments on time? I think that's what gets you in the correct class for T-Mobile to give you the lowest down payment options.

I’ve been with them for almost 5 but that payment thing is what gets me then if that’s the case.

These are the Twitter links that still work. Some of them just reference "$0 down" which could've just meant EIP, while others specifically indicate "$0 down for JOD." The most important one I remember seeing was "$0 down JOD for the Xs Max" but that I know has since been deleted. I would've taken either Xs or Xs Max at $0 down, so I was glad that the rep allowed me to get the Xs Max.

I got the text message minutes after the preorder was placed: "T-Mobile Msg: Thanks for your order! Order# S000000000 will ship between 9/21/2018 and 9/21/2018. You'll see charges on your card soon. Visit t-mo.co/order4 for up-to-date status and shipping info while we're processing your order," right alongside the other text message: "We placed the requested adjustment of 109.99 plus tax if applicable to your account. For details view the Account Events section on my.t-mobile.com."

Yeah, I was told multiple times that 3 years + and 12 payments of time get you the lowest down payment offered in their system. So with T-Mobile I'm a Credit Class W. I think Class A, B and W is offered the lowest down payment option. Someone else can chime in if I'm wrong. But I think you can contact T-Mobile and see if they can up your credit class lol

Yeah I used that one, before they deleted it. They even had the rep who said that took over on my T-Force conversation. lol He was sorry for assuming wrong. I also got the same text message with the requested adjustment back of $109. lol

I’ve made late payments in the last 12 months and was offered $100 down. I was originally quoted $279 earlier in the day. The entire system is a mess. There’s no good way to predict what you’ll be eligible for.

Cash is king. It feels better to have a smaller monthly bill than to see $50 taken out every month for 24 months in my opinion.

doesn't matter if you did in the last 12 months. as long as you have made 12 payments in a row without being past due or setup on an arrangement. I'm just going by what I was told before by multiple reps. lol

While Cash is always king. I don't believe in paying $109 just to save $3 or so at max.... But then again some people don't believe in having the down payment cost, as they figured and should that JoD always has been $0 down $0 out the door. But also the few I know with other carriers doesn't seem to mind the monthly charge as the carrier doesn't charge them a huge down payment for a Phone, and the ones who does have T-Mobile didn't know that Apple suddenly up the price to 1100 for the higher end low storage model. They been stuck using an iPhone 6s. Which they think is finally time to upgrade, but the high down payment is putting them off.

Excuse my ignorance here, but isn’t past due the same as being late?
