I think it is stupid that established customers have to pay a downpayment. I have a second line with T-Mobile but didn't upgrade my X, seeing how the new XS Max is dual SIM. T-Mobile must have a lot of customers who don't pay their bill on time or not at all, and are sent to collections, for them to adopt this downpayment policy.

Since you can sell the X for $500+, seems like a no-brainer to me.

That $208 ends the lease but then I have to turn the phone in. To purchase the phone I would have to pay an additional $252 for a total of $460. I didn't realize that Apple was offering $525 for the X. Looks like I can get out of the JoD cycle sooner rather than later. I think I'm going to check into this further. Thanks!

I mistakenly chose the Verizon xmax when buying through the apple store. I’m buying it outright though so it shouldn’t be a problem using Tmobile right? Just pop out the sim when I get it?

Correct. Make sure to put the new SIM in while the phone is off.

Ok thanks. I don’t wanna go through the hassle of a return n rebuy. Just pop my Tmobile sim in before powering up?

Eventually I’d like to do Tmobile for esim and Verizon nano sim.

Correct. I have a Verizon and T-Mobile line as well. I plan to use Verizon as the nano and T-Mobile as the e-SiM as well. The sooner iOS 12 offers dual mode, I can sell my second iPhone X.

So I don't need to call to change my Ground shipping to Overnight?

Is my down payment unusually high? My monthly payments are $21.90.
Do people with lower down payments just pay a higher monthly payment?
From my experience at least now. Every single time I never had to pay for shipping or upgrade shipping, always been overnight.
Down payment varies between a lot of factors, but yes people with lower down payment have a higher monthly payment.

From what I read, Verizon no longer sells unlocked iPhones. I believe this is the first time that the iPhones will be locked to Verizon. You may want to investigate that?

I'm assuming you haven't had the X that long then.

It appears that they are locked for the first 60 days

I think it’s still unlocked though buying outright from the apple store though?

This is what I see:

Hmm I’m thinking it won’t. Maybe if I bought it from Verizon it’d do that. Either way I’ll stick a Tmobile sim in before powering up to make sure.
I remember reading on a news story that only tmobile and AT&T variants have the band 71 lte, I'm not 100% sure though so don't qoute me on it.

This is a big reality, yes... we have quite a few Month 1 defaults. There are no subsidies on devices, so the carriers get left holding the bag in these situations - as well as the Carrier Carousel that customers play in search of the best deals/promos.

I think it’s also fair to remind people that our $720 financing limit - along with being a smart financial move for the company (and customers’ bill) - got you the top of the line device just 2 years ago... usually $0 down. Literally 2016. No one saw the rise of the $750 budget phone or (yikes) $1100 base premium.

I’m sure leadership will continue to assess the financing options and make the decision they feel is best for customers and the company (business) as well.

Unless you selected “unlocked” with no sim it will be carrier lock

Then why say it’s unlocked then? I paid full price at the apple store.

Here is the answer to your question.
[doublepost=1536968374][/doublepost]I played with going to purchase on a and outright. Both times the message was the same. Honestly your best bet would to be Comcast the Genius Bar to see what they say.

Sooooo I was told id get the $109.99 pricing on the iPhone xs max and when I went to pre-order at 3am est they told me that I needed to pay $379.99 .I very reluctantly paid that and woke up today on a mission. I ended up getting in touch with executive leadership team after several conversations on Twitter and FB chat. They ended up crediting my account $300. I am now working on another $240 credit because I was promised that price and wanted to upgrade to 2 Max's. We'll see how it goes, wish me luck.

So I didn't see comments yet (I didn't go through all the pages) but I was curious when we start seeing flights on flightaware that we know are iPhones? It's been minute, and I know others on here are way better about this stuff than me.

I see that but it doesn’t show where it would lock to any carrier? I’ve ordered Tmobile iPhones in the past at full price from Apple n it’s unlocked.
It's locked. You picked a Verizon phone and it will be locked to Verizon. Arguing with everyone trying to answer your question because you don't like the answer is juvenile.
