How is it possible TMO still has most of the Xs Max models still available for 9/21? I remember from the 6Plus and 7Plus pre orders it was like this also but near release date customers were getting their dates changed. TMO did take care of us with credits and provided great customer service.

For the 6Plus it took so long and I had my date changed multiple times that I got multiple credits. 2 months I still didn't get my 6 Plus 128GB that I found an Apple store that had the Verizon one in stock and purchased it. The 7 Plus wasn't as bad but still took a month longer than I had liked.

I hope their system is actually correct this time, I do remember last year with the X that the date jumped to later date then reverted, then jumped back a couple of times.

The vast majority of us on Jump paid $109 down. Do you have credit issues?

I called when I got up and was told I would pay $99 down for the max, so, no apparent qualification issue here. I was never JOD but original jump. I decided to keep my phone. Next year, or whenever I pay this one off, I won’t be trapped by my provider in a yearly upgrade program and can decide what I want to do or change. And tbh I want that $12 off my bill as well.

I did preorder a s4 watch outright instead.

T-Force Rep hit me with $279 down on JoD. 700 credit, 11 month customer. But.... T-Mobile.com allowed 0 down on EIP for one of my other lines... so I did that, I will take my existing JoD line and Jump to a Revvl (Cheap $7/mo phone... $150 total), buy it out and probably get $100 on eBay.... so $50ish gets me out of the $750ish still owed on my iPhone 8 Plus.
Just an FYI..you can return the phone at the store and pay a restocking fee to get out of JOD. Might be easier than trying to sell on eBay.

My 3 year tenure is in January. T-Force told me that assuming there are no changes between now and then, I should qualify for the 109 down on a Xs Max. Currently they want $379 down for JOD. NO THANKS!! Hoping the leaked pricing on the Xr is correct. Supposed to be $0 down, ill switch to that to hold me over until January :)

Me too! Glad i snagged one! I kept going back and forth between the XS and Max hope I don't regret it lol

Super confused. I just switched to T-MOBILE this year and this is my first pre order through them. Just got a new text that said my order would be shipping on 9/21. With AT&T I’ve always gotten it on launch day. Can anyone provide any insight?

This is probably the system default or something though they'll probably ship it to be delivered on the 21. (SHRUG)....my guess

T-mobile either got limited supplies or just too many ppl upgrading since it started to slip after a few minutes with delivery by Sept 28 - Oct 5. It is possible like last year they were able to ship it out earlier than expected.

Just got told $99 down for the 64gb Max with trade-in of my 8 plus. That's with the iphone upgrade program through T mobile (which is different from Apple's I guess lol). She didn't mention JUMP at all. But I'm still thinking about it tbh. The phone's nice but I'm getting a little tired of this treadmill.
I’m still using my 6, it’s only been in ther last 6 months it gave me phone call issues. Battery replacement ended up netting me s replacement of the phone, and it sucks at phone calls. I figure I would have no issues keeping the Max the same length. I went from the 4 to the 6, iPads went from the 1 to the air to the pro2.

Don't worry much into that. I've done this for the past 3 years with T Mobile and that's just an automated message. I'm almost positive you'll get it on the 21st. I received messages like that in the past and always got it on release date.

My order was completed by 11:57.

The main draw of Apple products and why they’re arguably worth so much of what they cost these days is because they’re built to last. It’s starting to feel silly to not utilize that benefit. I might as well get an Android with better specs in the short term, if I’m not interested in keeping a phone for a while. no matter what deal you get, with these programs you’re still paying extra money out of pocket each year for the ability to upgrade more than you could normally afford.

Enjoy your max! That thing is beautiful and I’m sure it’ll last you at least as long as your 6 did.

Wow, I would have pitched a fit. My score is around 700 and I just paid $109. Sure I've been with T-mobile a long time, but that shouldn't matter that much.
The actual score doesn’t matter. My score was like 650 when I originally got T-Mobile 3 plus years ago. If you are 650 or above you are in the top tier credit score. Their bar is pretty low for that. To qualify for the lower JOD down payment you need to be in the top tier credit score AND have over 3 years with them. I didn’t qualify for the lower down payment last year. Paid $279 down for my X. This year I got the $109 for the X Max

I see people saying they got the phone last year on launch day. What about now if you do the free 7 day shipping? Was being a cheapskate and hoping all the shipping options are the same. Was kind of bummed they don't have free 2 day shipping anymore. Order status just shows it ships the 21st.

I'm 3 years in 2 months. I ordered the 512 XS Max last night at the higher up front price.

I'll wait 2 month and order a 512 XS Max for my 2nd line at 369.99 down.

T Mobile automatically upgrades all pre orders to free overnight shipping. If it shows it ships the 21st, you'll get it on the 21st.

Don't worry, that means the same thing. Your phone will arrive on 9/21. :) Happens every year, customer reps also confuse people, messaging is unclear but I have learned this by now (doing this for 4 years now). T-Mobile always says ship by date X, which is the launch day but what they really mean is delivered by date X. This is true only for the launch date. If you are in other date slot, then the ship by date is generally accurate (unless supply increases from Apple's side).

So... I JoD to the cheap phone... and then I return it within 15 days... and I only have to pay a restocking fee and off the hook for the 8 Plus I jumped from?

Thanks so much! That makes sense. Activate the new SIM in the new phone and then switch it out to the X and put mine in the XS. There will not be any issues with T-Mobile identifying who’s phone is who’s on our shared account page, right? It’ll switch everything automatically once the SIM cards are switched over?
It might get it right, but might not. My account shows I have an LG phone instead of an iPhone X. I've never owned an LG phone before in my life. One of the other lines on my account shows the wrong iPhone version. It has been like this since I switched to Tmobile 2 years ago. Everything works fine, so I've never complained to them about it.

T-mobile servers are down every time I try to use their app... This happened last year too.

I had the same issue. The first rep called me, since I had a call back scheduled for MN, and sounded very excited but very slow. I think it took 3-4 minutes for her to ask my the first of four phone numbers that needed to be upgraded. And every 20-30sec, I got a "it'll be just a moment"...not sure what she was doing. Then she tried 3 of the four numbers one by one, all with some sort of random error...she then said the manager she emailed to get help said I would just have to go to the store. I got irritated since now I figured I missed the launch day deliveries. She then follows with, well lets just try your fourth number, I'm thinking wheat's going to change this 4th time...this was around 12:20A. I said thank you, I'll call back and hung up. Called back, the guy on the phone this time, took care of all four phones in a bulk order within 5-7 mins, confirmed address, CC, and all good to go. Also ordered me an Apple Watch in the the next 3-4 mins using the same info he saved. What a difference!

I can only imagine that maybe some of us that called right around 12, the system may not have been ready who knows. Anyhow, all phones say shipped by 09/21, but hopefully means 9/21 deliveries.

Ordered 2 iPhones Xs Max 256gb space grey for me and silver for my wife called in at 11:55 my wife got threw faster then me for some reason. the rep kept saying she couldn’t do the process because to many people are calling in... so she told me to try online or the app so I did I got my order in but for some reason had an issue with my wife’s line saying it was in eligible and again she couldn’t do anything so I hung up n called again talk to another rep rite away and got her phone both phones say ships on 9/21 with free shipping no expedited shipping. Took about a hour for all that.

All the phones will ship "overnight" via "UPS". They shouldn't charge you for shipping because it is "Free Overnight Shipping".
If you see "ground shipping" in your order (like mine with no charge $0), they will ship overnight too.
If you get charged for shipping, call the rep, "be nice and polite!" and they will give you credit on your bill for the shipping charge.
If you have "UPS my choice", you cannot hold the package for pick up from UPS location, they won't do it, I have tried it before for my Note9, it doesn't work because the sender does not authorized the package to be held by UPS.

What's up everyone! Haven't been on here since the iPhone 7 Plus preorders. Glad to be back on here to re-live the anticipation with everyone as the 21st gets closer and closer. Well I ordered the iPhone XS Silver 64gb at 11:54am right on the Tmo website. I don't have JOD so I paid the normal down payment of 279.99 and sales tax for a total of roughly $360, $30 a month for 24 months. It said my iPhone 7 plus trade in would only be $192 but after speaking with one of the Tmo experts, they said once they receive my trade in and confirm the IMEI, the system will automatically apply the $300 credit. I opted for the free UPS express shipping as I did with the iPhone 7 release because TMO upgrades all early preorders to next day shipping. They did that with my 6 plus and my 7 plus without me asking them. Have a delivery date of 09/21-09/21.

I wanted a plus size X last year so settled on the X assuming a plus was coming. Was going to purchase from Apple, but my config ship date slipped so purchased from TMobile. Turned out well since I am getting $25 more trade in for my X. Not 100% confident that the 9/21 ship date is going to hold since it's still showing as available this morning.

One note - I did see a lower down payment for the Xs Max 256GB of $249 and $41 per month, (0 down for base Xs config) but at checkout it reverted back to $525 and $30. I went ahead with that since my trade in covers my down payment via statement credit. Probably a glitch and I didn't want to wait for a call. I am 2.5 year TMobile customer with a 830ish credit score.

I would have liked to hold the Max in hand just to be sure it's not too big, but will just try it out within the return window. If all is good, I don't see myself upgrading for another couple years since it has all of my check marks.

It's been another fun pre-order and appreciate all the folks sharing great info and support!
