It really depends on your area.

In my area you can’t pick anything up at hub until 4 pm, orders delivered to our store are available around noon.
The problem with UPS system is the lag to reroute, they often add as day, which is dumb. FedEx has it down pat, if you request a change the night before delivery, it goes to the location the next day. I re-route FedEx almost weekly, it's seamless. This is one of the weak spots for UPS.

I can’t disagree they might have issues in some areas but not in my town. Anything of value I am receiving I have sent to the store and it is always the same day.

We have a hub and store both in our town about 5 miles apart and for some reason customer pickup at hub isn’t open until 4 pm.

For those that haven’t gotten anything yet, go into your account history up top. My JOD lease update was in there from 9/17 with my imei number. T-Mobile may not be sending those out via email anymore. Also opened the my ups app, and had to agree to a new end user license agreement, and then there was the tracking number as order processed and ready for ups. Guess the new agreement may have prevented me from getting notifications.

How does one change it to be pick up at a hub? Would that mean I can go in Friday at 8am and pick it up?
You would call UPS, give them the tracking number and ask them when it arrives to hold at the hub for pickup. But ask first will it delay delivery or add a day to have it held for pickup before confirming.

If it will delay it then don’t do it.

Because the rest of the phones are all palleted like that and are coming from HK. What makes you think differently?
Or, in the wonderful modern world of shipping logistics and just-in-time inventories, the product is packaged in T-Mobile’s packaging in China, labeled, palletized, loaded on planes that go to the UPS hub in Louisville and routed to their destinations - without T-Mobile ever even receiving the product at their own warehouse to be unloaded and loaded again.

I ordered the XS Max 64GB in silver online. Ship date of 9/21 :)

Folks, are these phones getting shipped on the 21st or before? I ordered on midnight on the 14th and this rep says they “START” shipping on 21st and not a day before.

Cause i’m thinking it’s better off to cancel and order right in the store on 21st because I don’t believe there’s so much demand for the Xs as in previous years.

The reps say that because that’s when your order says it will ship. In practice, they usually start moving on Wed/Thurs. your best bet is to just leave well enough alone — you start canceling things and next you know, you have to wait an extra two weeks or more.

Do you think they will try to redeliver on Saturday if I'm still at work when they get to my house on Friday.

Of you’re comfortable doing it, I just leave a note with the date and shipping carrier and write, ok to leave package (the date), thank you, print and sign

Not sure about the redeliver

When you select change delivery you need to select your nearest customer center (CC).

If you’re expecting to pick it up at 8am you’ll be disappointed when you get there. It takes time to get the packages off the trucks and to the customer center where you go to pick up your package. There will be one person going back and forth between the trucks and customer center to retrieve packages for each individual customer that shows up once they open.

Also, there will be a line of people thinking the same as you and showing up once they open so you’ll have to wait behind them as well.

I like to give them some time to sort through all of that. I show up in the afternoon so I can get in and out without much fuss.

Morning guys, just wanted to update you all, here is a recap of my order so far:

iPhone XS Max 64GB Silver
Ordered
: 09/14/2018 at 11:12 PM EST ; Charged: 09/18/2018 at 11:20 AM EST
T-Mobile estimated shipping date: 9/21/2018; IMEI showing up on T-Mobile as of 09/19/2018
Got UPS tracking number late on 09/18/2018, but no origin scan as of 09/19/2018 at 10:15AM

I am not expecting an origin scan until mid-day tomorrow as it has been for the past 3-4 orders.

I’m honestly not even sure anymore. Previous iPhones I preordered from T-Mobile always have release day as the ship date and I always get it on release day.

This year seems different with all the different shipping methods and reps telling everybody that they’re not shipping until the 21st.

I guess noon would be better eh? I didn't actually mean 8am, as I seen before online that when other people lined up at UPS. I don't know yet, I know my local UPS doesn't deliver much before dinner time. Which is annoying when I have to sign for something.

Agreed, i’ll just leave it as is.

My skepticism on watch delivery is growing. I have nothing that points to delivery Friday, until I get a charge.
I have a feeling the new watch pre order is along the lines of the 6plus and 7 pre order fiasco. At least I’m starting to think that’s the case.

I'm wondering if anyone has a ship date of 9/21 for the watch. Maybe they are shipping phones first then getting to the watches.

Ordered three iPhone xs max at 1,1:15, and 7 am PST. All are charged and ready to be picked up by ups.
