So then all the statements saying "Don't worry, everyone will get their iphones tomorrow. Doesn't matter what kind of shipping you have" is not true...
I really hope so. I preordered on Thursday at 11:50-11:55, got charged and UPS info Sunday-Monday.
That's good to know, because I was charged since Monday.
I’ve been through all launches since iPhone 5s, for iPhone 7 I got ground shipping and didn’t get my phone till 3 days after. For iPhone 8 I got next day air and got it on launch day
The stupid rep I talked to didn't even give me the option. She just said it would arrive on the 21st. But when I look at my account now, I see it says shipping BY the 21st, via ground shipping. I was never given a choice. Oh well.
I agree they are shipping based on shipping type. My watch is 2nd day air and was charged to my card later and ordered later. My phone is ground and still has no scan. I'm just hoping they don't change the tracking on the phone. I want to be sure they go to the ups pickup so I don't have to be home.
Honestly, I don’t think the ground preorders will arrive tomorrow. When placing my order they tried to give me ground, but I refused. They gave in pretty quickly. Probably needed to do a little haggling in order to get it on launch day if you were setup with ground.

I ordered my phone online and paid for overnight to be safe. I ordered the watch a couple days later over the phone and the rep didn’t give me a choice and I have ground for that. Kind of more excited about the watch, which I won’t get now till next week. Booooo!!!!
Mine says next day air in transit, so I'm supposed to have it tomorrow.
I disagree if you have ground and are in 1 day ground shipping range from Louisville, KY I think you will still have a chance to get it tomorrow.
one of my buddies who ordered his at Best Buy just got the confirmation that his phone is ready for pick up at our local store! I hope my UPS status will update soon later today ! lol
really kicking myself for ordering the watch thru T-Mo. I hate carrier orders
Same but for the phone. Thought about going through Apple, but seeing as how tmobile took care of me during the X (giving me overnight shipping without asking or telling me), I decided to go with them. Now I regret it hahaha
Yeah, I can see the pattern now hahaha. Those with ground in SoCal won't get scanned until later, while those with next day, overnight, 2 day are getting scanned now. Oh well... Guess I won't be getting mine until Monday. I could go to a Tmobile shop in the morning, but I'll have to skip work entirely. I took a half day thinking it was arriving on launch day (from what the rep told me)
This is not correct. Some of us where charged on Saturday or Sunday. Our phones will ship before people who pre-ordered after us.
I was told overnight when I did my JOD at 3am preorder day. My UPS says Ground tho, but the. I click the UPS Ground link on the page it says Next Day to Northeast locations. I'm literally a state over from where it's shipping from. I have a feeling we will see Ground orders tonight go out and arrive tomorrow hopefully. I think T-Mobile knew what they were doing paying for shipping. At least I hope they did, I mean I was charged on Sunday, and was not he phone with them at 2:45am on pre-order morning. So will be ripping someone a new you know what when I was told my phone would be here on Friday and it isn't here.
